I just heard from a new blogger who has spent years quietly investigating the money trail behind the privatization movement.
He has decided to be silent no more.
It is called “Charter School Finance Footnoted.” Its subtitle is: ”Public funds lining private pockets.”
And he adds, as a descriptor:
“Keeping an eye on what charter schools tell their investors but not the rest of us.”
This should be interesting.

A future Education Hall of Fame member in the making. Can’t wait until the next posting comes out.
It didn’t really say much. How about some beef in that article.
It’s a first blog. Not the last.
Waiting with baited breath.
Thank you for exposing White Hat. Isn’t it nice how he and Gov. Kasich are such close friends…employing family members and writing their own legislation to benefit charters. Is there a way to profile charters in the state of Michigan? Do you think there is a conflict of interest when the charter authorizer (university) makes money off of the charters through administrative fees? There are serious abuses of taxpayer money and yet it appears to be legal.
Thank you for the heads-up
A colleague of mine was interested in including this type of work in her dissertation. Interesting, indeed!
Thank you Diane for being a beacon on a stormy night. I’m ready to help any way I can.
