A seat opens up on a school board in West Sacramento.
An employee of StudentsFirst decides to run for it.
A teacher challenges him.
One has big money.
The other has experience as a parent and teacher in the schools. Who will win?

It is GRRRREAT to see teachers and their unions APPEAR to be interested in the best interests of the children. For decades we have heard that if we only paid them a little more, more days off, maternity and sick leave, free education for themselve, THEN they would really get to work teaching children.

Vete = get out of here or leave, EBer is an Educational Bully, And Vete al diablo = go to hell.
Crude, but short and to the point.

Not that I’ve never been crude nor negative. (sorry a riff on the fact that most languages allow double, triple, quadruple negatives in a sentence, even though English doesn’t)

If you think Michelle Rhee or Students First care about your child, think again. Do some research. Most teachers DO care. They wouldn’t work the hours for what they get paid if they didn’t.

Don’t respond to TF’s comments. She gets paid in gift cards to post negative comments here. She also “sighs” a lot.

Ms. Kirby-Gonzalez’ interview shows her to be an articulate and well-informed candidate.
I wish we had Board candidates with similar experience and wisdom.

They should contact Amy Frogge in Nashville, she ran for school board and beat a StudentsFirst funded candidate.
