I think some people need to jump in on the comments on his blog. It’s already stocked with TFA alumni who are defending their camp. I don’t have enough knowledge or facts about their institution.
TFA = Temp agency. What a great line! Gonna have to use that one.
Temp agency is mild, and too kind: it’s a replacement worker/scab agency.
With school budgets being cut everywhere, it is very hard for me to see how what is left to put teachers in the classroom is spent on signing a contract with TFA and paying for them to come and teach for two years and then all too often systems have to start again. I was glad to see that Heilig brought this to the attention of the Louisiana public in the LPB interview.
