A reader sent this animation. I think most everyone who reads this blog will find it humorous yet too true to be funny.
It depicts the way teachers are evaluated now. Being “very good” is not good enough. Being “perfect” is not good enough.
In what line of work are people expected to go higher and higher until they hit the top and are washed up because they can’t get any better?

Okay, this was mildly funny when I first started watching. Then it became less funny when I heard words used by administrators within my district. Then it became scary when I heard words I myself have said.
PLC, SMART goals, “raising the bar” doublespeak-this hits HOME.
It’s very good.
More like a documentary than satire.
This video has such a familiarity to it… as the school year comes to an end… it pretty much sums up the year we’ve had as teachers…
