Maybe, because, these, higher up government officials, are NOT aware of what is, happening in the U.S., under their, commands??? Or, it may be the Republicans way to, gloating about the, “good work”, done by ICE, either way, this says, a whole lot about, Trump’s, plan of, MAKING AMERICA GREAT, AGAIN…
Maybe because these higher up government officials, are NOT aware of what is happening in the U.S. under their commands??? Or maybe, this is the Republicans’ way to, gloat about the “good work”, done by ICE. Either way, this says a WHOLE lot about Trump’s plans of MAKING AMERICA GREAT, AGAIN!!!…
Perhaps the General is too accustomed to having all his assistants be his guardrails because he’s made other similar mistakes. IMO, this General ain’t the best to rely on. And isn’t he also a vulture capital partner somewhere? So he ain’t no General Ben Hodges that’s for damn certain.
To refocus, the problem here is that our lapse in critical thinking is exactly how Fox News and those sort of amoral entertainers work. Did you read Roger Ailes’ own explanations of his success? He explained it succinctly. “People don’t want to be informed, they want to feel smart.”
The General’s post gave many of us exactly what Fox’s consumers are desperate for; the feeling of correctness and superiority. Those are the traits of those among us who believe conspiracy fantasies. And it turns out that we (over here where the less selfish people are) seeking the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth aren’t so different. We have the same vulnerabilities. We should be wary of information that confirms our bias without providing any links to primary sources. Plus, we should also be questioning ICE Agents without heads. I mean, they are obviously Sauron’s Orks for sure, but headless??? It’s unlikely – can we agree on that?
So again, to make this stick, (I want to win this fight NOW because at almost 67 years old, I need this fascist phenomenon to die completely and right now before my daughters have their lives destroyed by it), most of us ignored the obvious fact that the largest ICE Orc, who was also in the first plane of this 2D image and closest to us viewers, was missing a head because the message of the meme told our truths.
Slow down.
Think it over.
Question the sources including our own bias.
We do not have USA Journalism on our side. No institution has failed Americans more in the last 50 years that American journalists. I mean, isn’t that why we are needing people who aren’t journalists to fill the void where a tiny bit of high quality journalism used to be in the USA many, many decades ago – people like Diane Ravitch and countless others online? Some have been at this for a lifetime like Sam Smith at The Progressive Review – at it since 1964.
We are in the fight of our lives. The enemy of humanity controls nearly all of government. And history is very clear that we are massively in the underdog position for a fight that the enemy of humanity has been preparing for since 1970.
And if you think you have all the answers, then you 100% need a vacation.
As I mentioned, the danger here isn’t that these AI materials are difficult to distinguish from reality. The danger is how quick we are to embrace a thing that tells our own truths. Remember Diane that we are attracted to these messages because they tell our truths.
To offer something else from the kids these days who have to grow up with our generations’ embrace of unlimited selfishness, “Don’t be a finger Princess!!!”
A “finger princess” (Korean: 핑프, ping-peu) is a slang term for a person who is too lazy to search for information themselves, instead relying on others to do simple, easily Googleable tasks for them. Originating in Korea, this term describes someone who won’t “lift a finger” to look up information, often asking obvious questions that could be solved in seconds.
I looked that up via AI of course. I’m not surprised at all that a US General didn’t put any effort into researching the primary sources on this. He probably hasn’t done his own research for decades. Stanley Kubrick did a film about that I think.
When over-confidence shows up in our lives IMO we have a sure sign that we need a vacation.
Pretty much says it all, doesn’t it?

Please excuse me for asking: How do we know that this photograph isn’t a deepfake?

Maybe because of the source, retired General Tony Thomas, Special Operations Commander?

See Thomas’s page on Wikipedia here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_A._Thomas
IDK, but it looks like it’s posted in his own name on his Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/TheTNHoller/photos/wow-retired-army-general-and-former-commander-of-special-operations-command-tony/1363414865799450/

Are you guys kidding? You need to grab a teenager to teach you how to spot AI in images and music.
First, the one cop is missing a head.
2nd, the hands on two people in that image are mangled.
3rd, Pretti, the murder victim, is holding a gun in a mangled hand.
4th, the rifle on the ground melds into the ground. And there’s more.
PLEASE DON’T BE SO DESPERATE TO PROVE YOURSELVES CORRECT AND SUPERIOR THAT YOU STAIN WHAT PRETTI DIED TO PROTECT!!!

Talk about being “desperate to prove” yourself “CORRECT AND SUPERIOR,” as reported in many places and seen in a lot of videos such as the one below, the victim was holding a smart phone in his hand when killed, not a gun. https://www.nytimes.com/video/us/100000010668660/new-video-analysis-reveals-flawed-and-fatal-decisions-in-shooting-of-pretti.html

Pat,
You will have to give lessons to 4Star General Tony Thomas, who posted this image on his X feed.

PolitiFact has determined that the photo is an AI-generated fake (https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2026/jan/27/tweets/Image-AI-Minneapolis-Alex-Pretti-Immigration/ ). Even a four-star general can be had.

It needs to be said that it’s not okay for ICE/cops to murder “bad” people either.

Murderers and kidnappers. They should all be brought to justice. I pray that one day this happens.
