   Maybe it was after 9-11 when police were so well-funded by Homeland Security that they bought armored vehicles and started treating everyone like enemy combatants. Americans started to notice how aggressive so many of our police forces had become. Not all police officers buy into the “rough and ready” approach to law enforcement, but many urban police forces seem to be trained in that way. Today ICE is a federal immigration agency that is largely unaccountable, and its unidentified officers have questionable training. This is a frequently masked national goon squad that seems intent on intimidating fellow Americans while attempting to condition our people to accept life in a police state.

   Which is why, if Trump’s fascist ICE agents show up at my door, I plan to die fighting — if I get the chance.

   In combat, stuff can happen so fast, we end up fighting in our underwear, which is why I slept with my M14 when I was in Vietnam. We had a wood rifle rack to stack our weapons, but it was in the middle of our tent inside our fortified camp, but the seconds it would take to reach them could get you killed.

   THE PURPOSE OF ICE is to exercise such brutality across the nation that its action triggers physical opposition which will allow Trump to declare that there is insurrection, triggering his Insurrection Act powers to establish military rule.

   A great deal of restraint is going to be required on the part of ordinary people who witness ICE brutality between now and the 2026 midterm elections — or Martial Law will be in effect, and there won’t be any midterm elections…which is Trump’s and the Republican Party’s objective.
