Political cartoonist Ann Telnaes recently won the Pulitzer Prize, specifically for a cartoon that depicted plutocrats prostrating themselves at the feet of Trump. One of them was Jeff Bezos, owner of The Washington Post, who was her boss. Her editor refused to post her cartoon, and she resigned.

The ever venal Trump covets The Nobel Peace Prize that was awarded to Obama, although I recall being surprised by the award since it was awarded so early in Obama’s first term. Trump cannot stand to see a Black man get more attention and admiration than him. The Norwegians should give Trump the “Lutefisk” award for being vile, slimy, white and caustic, since it’s prepared with lye. My in-laws used to serve lutefisk at the annual family holiday party to see which family member would dare take the plunge and run to the bathroom first.

What an ignorant comment. Obama had done nothing to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize at the time it was awarded to him. That award was just a protest against the outgoing Bush administration by the very left-wing prize committee.

I don’t know if the Nobel Prize committee is “left wing,” as you say, but I agree that it was surprising to award the Nobel Peace Prize to Obama when he entered office.

Trump will never forgive them for giving a Nobel Peace Prize to Obama but not to him. Truth be told, Obama was awarded the Prize without having done anything.

Regardless of my age, what I am referencing is that race is a primary issue for Trump. Trump said Obama was African, not American. Trump claimed Obama was the most ignorant president. At one point he claimed Obama founded ISIS. Let’s remember Trump claimed Haitians were eating cats and dogs in Ohio. Let’s also note that most of the immigrants he is deporting are Black and Brown. Race is Trump’s big hurdle, not mine.

Diane, the other day when I was reading your blog, I noticed that the word “avatar” was written next to my nom de plume and Bob’s. I think we are somehow we are being targeted in an attempt to suppress our comments. However, I will choose to ignore insults or criticism as I am passed the age where I am concerned about being trolled.

Tsk, tsk, we will have to put a hold on that Peace Prize since Trump has declared war on Iran. This is so wrong that Trump is engaging in a war of choice that could have easily been avoided. Isn’t enough that we are arming Israel with all kinds of advanced weaponry and intelligence services.
