I got the email from NPE and did it yesterday. My senators (Blackburn and Hagerty) are MAGA to the bone, so the’ll likely vote to confirm anyway. Just like other times, I already received my automated response about how “important” my correspondence is to them, and I’ll probably get their “official” generic response about all the “great” policies they’re supporting (that I don’t agree with…).

Ha Ha! Good one Roy! I take in you’re in TN too… And how about that redistricting they did? It caused my representative to be none other than Andy Ogles, the gun fetish guy who took a single economics course at a community college and claims to be an economist (among other things).

The sick part about the Ogle family Christmas card was that he did it where there had been a mass shooting at a private Christian school in our district. If it could happen at there, it really could happen anywhere.

That includes the Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act, also known as H.R. 9495, which would enable him by empowering the Treasury secretary to unilaterally designate any nonprofit as a “terrorist supporting organization” and revoke its tax-exempt status, effectively killing the group.

I just signed this petition. I sign MANY petitions and do hope that at least some make a difference.
Getting through to stone-head Republicans is a feat that I keep trying to achieve. Indiana’s Senator Mike Braun will soon be our governor. UGH! He is a billionaire who became our Senator by bragging that he was the strongest Trump supporter. He spent a lot of his own money to become Senator.
