Barbara Bush, daughter and granddaughter of Republican presidents, endorsed Kamala Harris and is campaigning for her in Pennsylvania.
According to People magazine:
Barbara Pierce Bush, the daughter of former President George W. Bush and granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush, spent part of her weekend in Pennsylvania campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris with just days to go before the 2024 presidential election….
“Barbara’s Republican father served as president from 2001 to 2009. Her mother, former first lady Laura Bush, 77, broke with the party’s stance in 2010 by saying she supports same-sex marriage and abortion. At the time, Laura said abortion should “remain legal, because I think it’s important for people, for medical reasons and other reasons.”

Something tells me W approves, albeit sub silentio.

Jsrtheta, I agree. GW Bush has been repeatedly slammed by Trump.

In April of 2009, the Tea Party movement made its first appearance. Laura Bush apparently began to break with the GOP soon thereafter. A whole decade later, after Trump’s had tried to extort favors from an ally, the GOP still stood together, defending even the most reprehensible people from removal. They lost Chaney and Kinzinger over Jan6, but McConnell and Graham kissed the ring. That kiss is starting to look like some smelly ring.

Graham and McConnell are 2 of the biggest suck-ups ever. They are wimpy, small men who can’t get what they want (imagined power) without attaching to the bully in the playground.

Apparently liberals have completely forgotten calling Bush Hitler back in the day. If Bush was Hitler but has been rehabilitated, does that mean Trump-Hitler will be rehabilitated if there is a worse Trump?

I don’t remember anyone calling Bush Hitler, but I wouldn’t doubt it.
Perhaps the fact that Bush sent troops to Iraq, who had done NOTHING to us on September 11, 2001, based on the lie that Saddam was behind it? Involved in it? In the neighborhood? when the September 11 attacks on the U.S. happened, on American soil, and started a war WITH NO CAUSE WHATSOEVER as far as Iraq was concerned, KILLING over one hundred thousand Iraqis who had committed the grievous sin of being Iraqis when Bush wanted to try out his “Wartime President” cosplay prompted some hyperbole? accuracy? from those of us watching in horror and disgust.
Yeah, that would have been so out of line that the slaughter of those Iraqis couldn’t possibly stack up against an insult flung at the pathetic poseur who got the war he wanted to prove he could be a “Wartime President”.
I represented a couple of those vets. They knew by the time I met them that the whole thing had been a complete fabrication, but they had gone in service of their country nonetheless. Something W hadn’t done. These troops had more patriotism in their little fingers than W had in his entire soul.
Forgive me if I’m not as scandalized by a slur directed at W as I am by the war dead W generated. I’m so very sorry.
