If you have ever wondered about Trump’s mental acuity, watch this video. Trump goes to Georgia and holds a rally, where he spends his time attacking Brian Kemp, the Republican governor of the state.
Kemp refused to overturn the election in 2020, and Trump has not forgiven him. The vote in Georgia was counted, recounted, recounted by hand, and every count showed that Biden won narrowly. But Trump insists that Kemp should have ignored the count and declared him the winner.
That’s what loyalty means to Trump. Ignore the facts and stick by Trump.
Trump is still outraged and angry, not only at Kemp but at his ungrateful wife!
Georgia is a swing state. Trump needs its votes. He needs Governor Kemp’s enthusiastic support.
Yet he spent his time in Atlanta bashing Kemp.

Trump has normalized so many behaviors. It is beyond troubling that half the electorate believes that it is normal to bribe people to keep quiet about your indiscretion, find out dirt on a possible opponent at the risk of undermining an ally, or changing the vote in a state during a free and fair election. The list of political behaviors normalized by this man is do long that it would take weeks to list. He has normalized the idea that all immigrants are felons. He has normalized the idea that allowing Nazis to rant in the street is free speech but allowing peaceful protest he dislikes is dangerous. He has normalized the idea that public health professionals are incompetent and Joe at the barbershop touting a remedy is brilliant. How tired one gets listing all the atrocities.

Three things (among many) are clear.
2. HE’S ALL WWE – World Wrestling Entertainment. He’s wants to be the bad-a** with the scary face paint standing on the ropes lathering up the adorning crowd. He wants to be / thinks he is Hulk Hogan.
He wants to TAUNT and OFFEND opponents and anyone who boos him in the crowd – – and get away with it. Demean anyone who doesn’t align or love him. Intellect, Skill, and Substance (and wrestling ability) don’t matter – whooped up homogeneous crowds love it, RATINGS are high, and he’s teflon.
3. HE’S the POSTER CHILD FOR BEING ANGRY. His appeal is to people who are angry (for any reason) and feel like everyone gets a break but them (hence anti-DEI aka welfare aka redistribution of wealth and the other guy always gets something). He breaks laws like Bonnie and Clyde. “He may be a millionaire playboy elitist, but he understands me”

There are numerous undesirable jobs, but I can’t think of many jobs that would be more emotionally draining than this one.
Imagine that you are an experienced political professional who manages campaigns for politicians running for elective office. You sincerely believe in most/all of what Trump advocates for government policies. But you aren’t into anyone’s cult of personality and you are very realistic about what he needs to do and how he needs to act to win the 2024 election. You know that having an off-putting personality hurts a candidate. Over and over again you plead with Trump to tone it down, to not attack existing and potential allies. You recognize how politically damaging it is to gratuitously alienate millions of voters who really want to vote against Kamala Harris, but who can’t stand how you conduct yourself in public.
How would a campaign manager like this keep his sanity?

The cub was killed by someone he was traveling with in upstate NY, she was in another car and hit the bear cub. RFK, Jr. scoops up the cub because he planned on skinning it and eating it!!!!!!!! Don’t lose sight of Trump’s ultimate goal in Georgia (and elsewhere) of delegitimizating county, state and ultimately national voting results. Kemp’s cardinal sin, like Mike Pence, was disrupting the disruptor.
The Putin puppet has learned from 2020 that there is no penalty for inciting insurrection and brazenly attempting to overthrow an election so he and his treasonous allies have been busy stacking swing state election boards with Trump election deniers. Their job is to delay certification to create the illusion of “fraud” so they can deny the results. If it then goes to Congress or the Putin SCOTUS then the puppet “wins”, voters will be cancelled and our democracy is over (“You’ll never have to vote again”). This is happening RIGHT NOW – Trump is calling these democracy landmines out by name at his rallies.
We are at war with anti-democracy billionaire-funded thuggery. There will be a call for violence from the cowardly Russia RepubliQans win or lose – whether retributive violence against “Marxists” or punitive violence against those responsible for “stolen elections”. They are what the founders most feared – demagogues on the inside eating away at our democratic core with their lies, prevarications and foreign bribes.
