There’s an old saying that you should never wish misfortune on others, because it might happen to you. It happened to Trump! Thom Hartmann has an interesting insight about the historic conviction of a former and perhaps future President.
First Prez convicted of a Felony in history… At a Reno, Nevada campaign rally in 2016, Donald Trump said of Hillary Clinton, “We could very well have a sitting president under felony indictment and ultimately a criminal trial. It would grind government to a halt.” He elaborated at a campaign rally in Concord, North Carolina, saying: “If she were to win, it would create an unprecedented Constitutional crisis that would cripple the operations of our government. She is likely to be under investigation for many years, and also it will probably end up — in my opinion — in a criminal trial. I mean, you take a look. Who knows? But it certainly looks that way.” He added that, because of the possibility she could become a felon, “She has no right to be running, you know that. No right!” Now Trump has been twice found by juries of his peers to have raped a woman, was convicted of fraud with his phony university, busted for running a fake charity and stealing money intended for kids with cancer, and his company was convicted of tax and insurance fraud. With more to come, should the six corrupt Republicans on the Supreme Court and Florida’s Aileen Cannon ever let his cases proceed. Karma, as the old saying goes, can be a bitch…
And now Trump is running as a convicted felon!

it’s those leftists weaponizing the criminal justice system. You better believe no jury down here in good old red Tennessee would have convicted trump. We make sure our Rapists go free if they promise to fill our pockets with money and guns. And what about Hunter?

Roy,
I’m waiting for MAGA to complain about Hunter buying a gun. They believe everyone should be able to own a gun, even addicts.
Biden said yesterday that if Hunter is convicted, he won’t pardon him.

It seems the crystal ball is in need of re-calibration. “We could have a SITTING president under felony indictment.” The candidate is not a sitting president. Considering bullshit talks as money walks, how do those gifted with the nonsense of precognition, pick the correct turd?

Gee, I don’t know.
But what I really don’t know is what the hell your point is.

This is OBVIOUSLY a reference to a future in which Trump has won the 2024 election. Then he would be a sitting president under felony indictment. Not difficult to follow, that.

It’s not practicing “precognition” to consider possible scenarios, No Brick. There is a difference between thinking about possible outcomes and seeing the future.

Founders of our country couldn’t have imagined this. New territory. I can’t see how our country can let this happen. He can’t even vote in several states.

Oh, they could, and did, imagine this.

Don’t parents raise their kids to be cautious of salesmen anymore? There’s still very good reason for that, because of the likelihood of unscroupulous conmen, who can be very charming and dazzle you with an act, to pull the wool over your eyes & convince you to buy snakeoil or something else you don’t need. In my experience, this is especially true in outside sales, that has a history of shackling folks to repeated purchases and payment plans, so they can keep making money off them for a long time.
I know because my biological father was one of them. For years, I used to hear my mom on the phone regularly empathizing with people that my dad had bamboozled, who called to beg to be released from their payment agreements. My mom felt truly awful about that and tried to intervene on their behalf, but my dad never budged. He sold virtually everything, too, from magazine subscriptions to food to flooring.
When I was about 7 years old and my mom sent my dad to the pet store to have my parakeet put to sleep, because it had cancer and was suffering terribly, my dad returned and proudly announced that instead of having to pay for that, he had made money, because he saw a kid looking at birds in the window outside and sold my bird to him! My mom was livid and divorced him shortly after that. I have been very weary of salesmen ever since, so my antennae saw tRump comin long ago.
Parents should warn their kids emphatically today, so they don’t buy into a president who is for sale…

Diane, I saw a post that was very similar to the above on your blog recently, though from a different name, and I think they are examples of Internet con-artists. You might want to consider deleting such posts, so folks don’t fall for that kind of sales hype here.
