Are thugs with nametags (albeit taped over) and marked cars any better? Because that’s what we had before Trump’s troops showed up. Not justifying Trump, but if disappearing people in unmarked cars and releasing them hours later is bad (and it is), isn’t it worse to disappear them by the busload and release them days later, after leaving them locked up packed into small cells with no access to family, friends or a lawyer?
About the Lincoln Project trying to save the Republican Party (although, the party exists only for bigots and grifters)-
Huffpo posted today, “N.D.’s GOP platform is so anti-LGBTQ nobody will say who wrote it.” The article states that GOP Rep. Mike Lefor couldn’t be reached for comment. II’ll make a guess who wrote the platform, it was theocrats with whom Lefor is associated.
From the Bismarck Tribune, “Faith Communities Take Action During N.D. Legislative Session”… the North Dakota Family Alliance, a nondenominational Christian non-profit will organize a Faith Leaders Summit …offering training for clergy who want to become involved in the political process… The North Dakota Catholic Conference holds a mass and appreciation dinner for elected officials each session…The Conference is tracking 160 bills in the current session (2015). The accompanying photo is of a “social gathering hosted by the N.D. Catholic Conference for state legislators and elected officials at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. The photo is of 4 men, including Rep. Mike Lefor, Bishop Folda of the Fargo diocese, Bishop Kagan of the Bismarck diocese and another Rep. from N.D.’s House.
OUCH! Trump doesn’t like it when they mention that he took a hunker in the bunker because he was afraid of the protesting. Guess he’ll be on a Twitter rant later on tonight.
I like the fact that The Lincoln Project is so outspoken. However, it is now time that they present a new vision for pro-active conservative policy that addresses this country’s many ills. So how does conservatism address racism, inequality, healthcare, education, and climate change? Regretfully, many of those who have organized The Lincoln Project have a long record of ignoring these issues for the sake of business. They are good at cutting POTUS down, now they need to participate in building the country up.
I disagree, Paul. The purpose of The Lincoln Project is to oust the worst, most corrupt, most malevolent president in history. After the election, if the idiot is gone, the Republicans will fight among themselves as to whether to be a party of reason or a party of racism and reaction.
The conservative party in a country where the majority values modernism and pluralism gains political power solely via money, bigotry, theocracy and dirty tricks. Economically, the Republican Party is the party of oligarchy.
An American democratic republic would have a two-party system, jJustice Democrats and, establishment Dems, if it operated according to its founding and if the views of those who sacrifice to build and protect the country are valued.

Theocracy made clear.
