Of course, Trump is also trying to damage the USPS and he has hired a new Postmaster general to do just that. Elsewhere are Trump’s ubiquitous attacks on mail-in and absentee ballots for various reasons. Trump wants to sew confusion about every way to vote. This campaign is also why Trump is already claiming (and hoping) the election can be a labelled a fraud…unless there is a landslide for Biden. There is no certainty of a landslide, at all.
Didn’t Obama give us Arne Duncan and John King in cabinet positions? Didn’t Obama pursue policies that made most teachers miserable? How soon we forget.
Sure, but there are other issues, too. Obama did not dismantle environmental protections and destroy the federal government from within the way others have done. If people sense respect for the government, why are they out in the street? We must vote Biden for the first step.
Susan, Obama wasn’t perfect. His public school policies were horrible. Obama and even G. W. Bush were almost saints compared to Trump when it comes to the environment.
Even if Bush’s environmental policies were a mixed bag, they were way better than Trump’s empty bag with the bottom cut out.

A Historic Commitment to Protecting the Environment and Addressing the Impacts of Climate Change
President Obama believes that no challenge poses a greater threat to our children, our planet, and future generations than climate change — and that no other country on Earth is better equipped to lead the world towards a solution.
That’s why under President Obama’s leadership, the United States has done more to combat climate change than ever before, while growing the economy. In fact, since the President took office, carbon emissions have decreased 9 percent, while the U.S. economy grew more than 10 percent.
I am sure that a “basher” could come up with stuff G.W. and Obama did that was not that great for the environment but compared to Trump, they are almost saints.
Public Education is not the only issue this country faces. Therefore, before criticizing any president on one issue, look at all of the other issues, too. Then think: how does this balance out that previous president’s record.
From Vote Smart anyone can find out what the president did what and learn if they did anything good for the nation:
How ironic (and sickening) that NOW he’s talking about fraud and disrupting elections? He should have just appointed Putin as Postmaster General and killed two birds with one stone.
He’s doing this to have a built-in excuse for losing. It will backfire on him.
In most red states – the process is a complicated mess. (See the Brookings rankings). And, in swing states, the process is easier which will not help him because those are the undecideds and folks who are sick of him will vote! And, those folks see right through this and this will inspire them to vote and track their ballots.
If it were the holiday season, USPS would be adding hours and people. For an election, they cut hours, fire staff, and everything else to backlog. This is yet another “Call Your Congressman” moment.
And, since Election Day is a non-school day in many states (and because of him no one will be in schools) – school folks everywhere should be trained to be 21st century poll watchers – only inspecting post office loading docks and trucks!
I am so sorry for you all, TOW.
GA guv. Brian Kemp’s brainless idiocy(like covid-19) has spread to Utah.
I hope your mayors & school boards will be able to override your insane state government officials’ callous ignorance.
The Greatest President in the history of this country has called for delaying the election. Show your support for Our President by staying home on November 3rd!
Bob I have to tell you what I tell a friend on Facebook . They (Trumpanzees ) aren’t coming to his page . I suspect you have already driven them from Diane’s blog. Not that I mind.
OK, granted. I am not a big fan of Trumpanzees. If only they would, I don’t know, do tricks or dance to a hurdy-gurdy or pose cutely with bananas or something. However, there are others, here, with equal or better claim the title Scourge of Trumpanzees.
A friend pointed out to me that a disproportionate number of female Trump supporters are bottle blondes. In anecdotal corroboration, there’s your linked video and, there’s the photo array of officers of the Chelan-Douglas Republican women’s group.
The addition of wrap arounds on boxes of blond hair dye, promoting Democratic candidates, is a campaign strategy that begs to be implemented.
The Lincoln Project could broaden focus to New Hampshire’s GOP candidate for U.S. Senate, Bryan Corky Messner. WaPo reports he set up a foundation ostensibly to provide
scholarships for inner city kids. The bulk of the disbursement from the foundation went for athletic facilities at the elite private school that his kids attended. (btw-the school has a $22,000,000 endowment). Just one, possibly two, inner city kids eventually got some money from the foundation.
And, of course, Messner is a Trump man and believes “Families need educational choice.” To him, that means taxpayers foot the bill for his kids’ private educations.
What a scumbag.

In the Public Interest posted an article last week that identifies Charles Koch as the man behind the attack on the post office.
I watched this video twice. The Lincoln Project is pulling out all the stops when it comes to getting rid of Trump.
And, Obama warns the country at John Lewis’s Funeral.
John Lewis. This is what greatness looks like.

I am sorry about This being so off topic, but you have no virus posts today.
The state of Utah has just announced a “modified quarantine” for Utah schools. It means that if a student o staff is exposed to Covid, they can sill go to school “as long as they don’t have symptoms.” It’s appalling and outrageous. This is coming from the state epidemiologist, of all people.

Indeed!!!! LOL
How about MAGADT (pronounced maggot)?
Make America Great Again Dump Trump
It sounds better than Build Back Better which sounds more like a tongue twister than a campaign slogan.
