Are charters public schools or are they businesses? The charter lobby wants a slice of the $2 trillion intended to save small businesses even though the charters have suffered no loss of funding during the pandemic.
Many businesses are nearly bankrupt. This money was meant for them, not charters and their lobbyists.

There isn’t a single public $ that they don’t love or think they deserve.
We already pay. Through the many grants they get—esp. from DeVos Land—we already pay for TFA teachers to continue their schooling to get certified or a higher degree; we pay for 1st class flights and executive suites; we pay for buildings and permits. Charters are the dreams of business people: a showcase for the difference $ does make, and a delusion that they do it better for less. For shame.
Unlike many businesses that depend daily commerce to make money, charters are paid a fixed amount the comes from public money. During the pandemic they will still get the same share of public dollars. It is shady of them to expect to be compensated for “loss” they sustain when they have already been compensated for the year.
“shady” says it all
Charters are neither schools or businesses; they’re vultures.
Hey, don’t worry. Steve Munchkin, Trump, and Trump’s hand-picked consigliere will be overseeing the distribution of these funds. There will likely be some crumbs left over after the residents of Mar-a-Lago, the businesses the Don and Jared have stock in, the charter management organization crew bosses, and the other Trumpeteer grifters get their vigs.
How will we pay?
How will we pay
For health care for all?
How will we pay
To offset the stall?
How will we pay
For deal that is green?
How will we pay
For problems unseen?
How we will pay
Not “How will we pay?”
