I endorse Stacey Abrams for Governor of Georgia, with enthusiasm.
Abrams is running against a rightwing extremist who happens to be Secretary of State and in charge of elections. This guy Kemp is using his position to suppress the votes of African Americans, Hispanics, and other potential voters for Abrams. She has called on him to resign, but of course he won’t.
If you live in Georgia and you want your state to move forward, please vote for Stacey Abrams.

I cannot vote for Stacey Abrams, but I sure can contribute to her campaign. Her first “ask” is only $5 on her site, but you could give $500…or more. Not me. But I use Actblue.com. Once you register at that site, you can contribute to every possible Democrat. I am certain the GOP has a similar way. The site sends you a receipt. Not that this $ is deductible. The site keep the candidate and amount and totals how much you have given since you began using Actblue. I at $4k+ over 3 years in small amounts. But you can use it less than I do. I refuse to fill in my street address, my credit card number on each and every candidate I support. Too busy for that repetitive system. Actblue makes this easy.

I will NEVER use ActBlue. I find an address and mail the check. ActBlue allows the hedge funds of DFER to raise money at its site. ActBlue was criticized for it, and audaciously defended it.

How different Stacey Abrams is from tech industry DINO, Cory Booker (DFER”s candidate). The NYT in 2013 posted, “Tech Magnates Bet on Booker”.
No surprise Booker is a Stanford grad, like Gates’ go-to for education privatization organizations,Kim Smith, founder of Bellwether, Pahara, TFA and New Schools Venture Fund. Prof. Hanushek is at Stanford, where he and Chester Finn are part of the Hoover Institute and, where he and Caroline Hoxby are part of CEPA.
I was curious where Booker’s sizable net worth came from. He was part owner of a tech start-up financed by tech magnates. Jeff Zucker’s 15 year old son was on the advisory board for a start-up backed by Booker. Marc Andreessen had a fundraiser for political candidate, Booker. Marc Andreesen proclaimed that India was better off under colonialism, when a tech corporation didn’t get its way in the Asian nation.

…..and really massive voter suppression efforts. He should be thrown out of office. He is indifferent to any charge of conflict of interest–overseeing the election count for the office where he is also a candidate.

GA voters: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION–DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE SURPRISED WHEN YOU VOTE TO BE TOLD, “Oh, you’re not registered.” There will be MASSIVE ELECTION FRAUD (NOT VOTER fraud…ELECTION fraud; that is, the powers that be purge the voter rolls; machines are tampered with/security disabled; results edited, etc.) Believe Murphy’s Law: “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.” TAKE STEPS TO ENSURE YOUR VOTE is correctly entered & counted.
To the extent which you can, VOTE ON ELECTION DAY–PAPER is SAFER. Also, AVOID VOTING BY MAIL (ballots did not “arrive in time” to be counted; lost ballots found later–too late; mail filled with ballot-loading–i.e., overabundance of “votes” “bad” candidate {well–crooked candidate}).
Check online (I have to find the site–maybe someone here knows it) to find out what steps to take if you are registered, but are still denied an opportunity to cast your ballot.
Finally, do NOT allow them to give you a PROVISIONAL ballot if they tell you you are not registered. Provisionals are NOT (except in VERY, VERY,VERY RARE instances; I know–I volunteered for & was trained to be a Provisional Ballot auditor in Chicago). Stand your ground–we know those who did so & wore down the election judges & received the real ballot.
Oh–1 more thing–if Stacy Abrams loses–& contact her campaign BEFORE the elections–URGE them to CHALLENGE the results. An election CANNOT be overturned/investigated unless requested by the candidate or her campaign.(Check out Tim Canova, brave Florida Independent Candidate for Congress, running against Debbie Wasserman Schultz. He is one of few {if anyone at all} who challenged; he won, but the county clerk’s office had {illegally} destroyed the ballots!! We believe that the next county clerk to pull this stunt will find himself/herself in jail.)

Good advice, rbmk. Democrats and WFP have to challenge every attack on democracy, in the smallest skirmish and the largest battle.

I’m sorry–I meant to write that provisional ballots are NOT counted (except in very rare instances).
Thus, your vote is essentially thrown into the garbage.
Also, Abrams’ opponent is Secy. of State, & has refused to recuse himself AND some voter purging (reported to be 50K) has already been found.
