I will be listening to Mahler’s 9th symphony tonight. My blood pressure can’t take the SOTU.
I went to a local small town (90 people in the town) bar/restaurant and watched the Blues beat the Canadians. Had my first beer since the beginning of December when I had my hip replaced.
Wish I had been there with you! I’ve had a few beers (and glasses of wine) since December and I love watching hockey, especially live. The Blues have one of the great sports logos, right behind the Redwings.

Thanks for asking!! Wonderful!!!!! So good I scheduled surgery to replace my right knee on March 20. There is still a little residual pain, but it’s tolerable. I’ve been religiously (and I don’t do anything religiously) doing my physical therapy and then some other non-impact exercises and doing about 45 minutes on a stationary bike. Ortho doc was very happy with my exercise regimen and the progress so we scheduled the knee.
I resisted the urge to play mother to see if you had eaten your peas (ie. done your physical therapy exercises). Good boy!
GregB: I watched Trump speak two sentences and turned it off. I can’t stand to watch him blather on about what a great job he is doing. I’m sure some speech writer did all the work. Trump will have forgotten what he read by this morning.
I was hoping he’d go off the teleprompter and rant.
He knows that what he says is marketing. Facts are irrelevant. He is a showman. Performance counts.
She delivered the Democratic response in Spanish…not translating Representative Joseph Kennedy’s speech, but giving her own! I watched Joe Kennedy’s (excellent) & haven’t seen hers yet (or the translation), but I look forward to it.
By the way, Joe Kennedy spoke at a public high school in Massachusetts! Bravo!
