The Trump administration is working diligently to wipe out every policy implemented by the Obama administration. Then it can continue its demolition efforts until it has reversed the New Deal and turned the clock back by a century.
The latest outrage lifts the ban on importing body parts of elephants into the United States.
This will encourage the slaughter and poaching of elephants.
Trump’s sons like to hunt big game. In the link, there is a famous photo of Donald Jr. holding the tail of an elephant that he evidently killed. Maybe this new policy will make it possible to sever the heads of their trophies and have them mounted for display.
Yes, this is loathsome.

The really strange thing is that Don Jr.’s knife is clean in the photo… I’m guessing most of those “hunters” like to pay for someone else to set up the kill, but then someone else also cleans up the mess. What they want is to show it off, not learn the skill of hunting…

My assumption is that this is some standard service that hunter-guides provide for trips like this. I would guess that it wouldn’t be easy to cut off an elephant tail with a knife like that.

A bloody knife makes for a revolting photo, so it was wiped clean first. What is shocking about this, of course, is that this sick cretin thinks that killing at a distance with a high-powered weapon an animal more intelligent than he is is a “sport.” Depraved.

Great insight about the elephant having more intelligence than Donnie. More compassion, for sure.

Cutting of an elephant’s tail is just fine, but only so when it’s the right kind of elephant, like the GOP. Elephants that actually live and breathe and are pure – that would be all of them – should never be touched. Shame on Trump and his rich sycophants. Real elephants could roam the earth, but the GOP should not rule the earth.
But who wouldn’t mind cutting off and selling a few GOP parts a few times a year? Mr. Trump’s cranium would make a wonderful waste paper basket. From “full of garbage” to full of even more garbage. And Paul Ryan’s feet would make lovely paper weights. Mitch McConnell’s neck can be stretched and molded into a utilitarian shower cap for the ladies. How adorably fashionista!
I’m taking my idea and marketing to the Sharper Image, just in time for Christmas. Credit cards accepted . . . .

It’s not a “strange” thing that the knife is clean. Most people do not enjoy seeing blood. I am a strong animal advocate, and if you have not educated yourself (this site is about education, is it not?) about what you are eating and how it got there and all the cruelty and blood and merciless killing that goes on to satisfy your eating of animals, do not criticize killing elephants as a “sport”. You end up being a part of it. But it’s all about money, isn’t it?
I do not believe in the “skill” of hunting. Our young are persuaded to join the military (to keep us safe), and are taught the skill of killing. It’s hitting the target (American Sniper). And they are taught (at a young age) to kill — people they are told to kill. 50% percent come back to the USA and kill themselves. They cannot deal with the moral injury that has been inflicted through war. They never expected it. They were to taught to kill, not for a sport, but through a “patriotic” value they believed in. We have been in a Middle Eastern war for 16 years now, never declared by Congress, as Vietnam was never declared a war by Congress.
If you don’t believe in killing, stop buying meat at the grocery store. Educate yourself to the health benefits of a plant based diet, and how factory farming effects our environment and the sentient animals that are tortured and killed for our wonderful freedom we have to choose.
It’s not “strange” if you educate yourself. And we both have a computer and the means (so far) to do it. Take advantage of it while you can. Trump is taking away much.

Agreed. What happens every hour of every day to billions of animals caught up in the industrial farming machine is unspeakable. But people choose not to know about these things. And as long as they do, they are complicit.

It must be very secret information.
In NYC, he was known as a con man, a braggart, a casino owner, a womanizer, a man so untrustworthy that none of the banks would extend him any credit.
We could make some judgments based on the people he surrounds him with, all of whom want to destroy the agencies they lead.

Does Glennstill deny Russian meddling in the 2016 election, despite the admissions of Facebook and Twitter? If so, only he and Putin believe that Russia did nothing. Even Trump believes Putin. Or believes Putin believes it.

I love Andy Borowitz’s comment on Trump believing that Putting was not involved in the 2016 elections…simply because he said so.

Mueller Immediately Closes Investigation After Hearing Putin Proclaim His Innocence
By Andy Borowitz, The New Yorker
12 November 17
The special counsel Robert Mueller announced on Saturday that he was closing the Justice Department’s Russia investigation, “effective immediately,” after hearing that President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, said he was innocent of any election meddling.
Moments after learning about Putin’s assertion, Mueller hastily assembled his staff of investigators to inform them that, now that Putin had fully exonerated himself, there was no point in continuing the probe.
“Vladimir Putin says he did nothing,” Mueller told his staff. “That’s good enough for me.”
Speaking later to reporters, Mueller said that, by disbanding his investigation, he was following the time-honored law-enforcement tradition of taking a suspect’s word for it.
“For the past several months, we’ve assembled tax records, cell-phone recordings, bank transfers, and e-mail communications that indicated Russia was involved in the election,” a visibly shaken Mueller said. “Somehow, we got it wrong—very, very wrong.”
As for his future plans, Mueller said that his first order of business was to write a hearfelt letter of apology to Putin.
“I feel terrible knowing that I’ve spent all this time investigating a person who did absolutely nothing wrong,” he said. “Hindsight is 20/20, but I really should have called him first and asked him what really happened.”

There are SO many places to educate yourself about elephants. If you pay attention you can learn so much about whatever is a passion within you. It might not last forever. Restrictions on computers will come. It might not be available.

“Restrictions on computers will come.” Yes, indeed. Great insight. The leaders of the New Feudal Order are working on that, on many fronts. And thank you for these posts.
