Julian Vasquez Heilig writes one of the best education blogs in the blogosphere.
In this post, he has video of the scholars’ panel at the NPE17 conference in Oakland, California, where the top was “school choice and privatization.”
Julian is a member of the panel, along with Frank Adamson of Stanford, who has studied choice from an international perspective; Janelle Scott of Berkeley; Roxana Marachi of San Jose State University.
The discussion is lively, and I think you will enjoy watching it.

This panel discussion was very informative. It gave us insights into the global landscape of privatization, massaged data designed to mislead, and the role technology plays in privatization. Their goal is to make the system for the common good collapse while the state does nothing to protect the common schools, We are certainly moving in this direction, but I hope we can vote out enough of the free market zombies before we turn into Chile. Chile even privatized its social security system to disastrous results.
