Most officials did condemn the bigotry and racism stemming from the white supremacists; but most did NOT condemn Trump. There is a difference. You can’t imply that you condemn him. You must come right out and say, “I condemn the POTUS because of his indifference and glossing over of this recent atrocity . . . Period, end of story! I condemn Donald Trump and therefore call for his removal from office!”
Shame on them! A curse upon their houses!
They gloss over Trump because they still need him to further plutocracize the United States. Who are they fooling?
I just sent this message to my Republican Senator Todd Young. He has voted the straight GOP line, including getting rid of ACA by giving millions nothing.
……………….
I am ashamed to have a President who does not lead but who works to separate people. He shamelessly stands up for the KKK and white supremacists. He insults people with disabilities, insults women and thinks they only are important when they are gorgeous and are sex objects, degrades everyone who disagrees with him, is an ignorant bully to our allies and respects Putin and the leaders of N. Korea and the Philippines. HIs job is to lead and he has failed miserably. He isn’t capable of holding press conferences where intelligent journalists can ask questions and believes that Tweeting is how to run a nation. I am ashamed of him.
Trump currently is bullying N. Korea but has made comments in the past supporting Kim. I believe that Trump would like to be a dictator and N. Korea definitely lets nobody protest. He liked Saudi Arabia because there were no protestors.
What will it take for Republicans to repudiate this president? It will take their CONSTITUENTS standing in front of their office doors saying they will not elect them again if they continue to protect and support this president. They should threaten to vote them OUT if they do not speak out vehemently against Donald Trump by name. And not only speak out, they should demand ACTION in the form of firing Bannon, Gorka and Miller and the other bigots in the White House. Also, Trump is a threat to this country if he continues to foment hatred and division and chaos- basically a civil war. That is grounds to remove him from office.
I’m tired of them “renouncing” him when they don’t act to oppose him in any meaningful, real way.
Why are his family members still working in the executive branch and why is he still holding state events at commercial properties he owns? There’s no reason to hold events at facilities owned by the Trump family- we’re paying to use the rooms. If Trump wants to hold a White House sponsored event in New York let his hotel put in a competitive bid with the other hotels.
He’s standing up there promoting his commercial properties and we’re paying hundreds of public employees to help him do it. Stop him. Write a law, write a rule, do something.
Ivanka Trump is leading the US delegation on entrepreneurs to India.
I’m embarrassed by this. It’s wrong that this family somehow feel they are entitled to turn this country into a vehicle for brand promotion.
This is the best we can do as far as “entrepeneurs”? A person who has never held a job of any kind outside one her father gave her?
I know that’s not true. I know there are thousands- tens of thousands- of people who are more qualified to lead that delegation. Will the other countries be sending family members of leaders to represent them? Will Germany or the UK or Japan be doing that? Why is the US?
You have made a comment that summarizes 1,000 more posts and 10,000 more features in every major media outlet, in print and in film. All roads lead back to Rome, and the center of Rome is comprised of apathy, corruption, indifference, and lack of civic participation.
It is a perfect storm, but every perfect storm has winds that eventually calm down enough for people to get their act together if they choose to.
(I hope I used “get their act together” correctly as an idiom here in this context, as English is not my first language.)
That’s why I always say that Versailles is now a museum. We all know what eventually happens to kings and despots. It may take a long time, but they are taken down.
I challenged KMOX radio in St. louis…using the current affairs forum of the Post Dispatch…(by the way–the public radio lifted the ban on my comments…no explanation…thanks to anyone who put in a word for me) I challenged KMOX programmers in this way: Listen to what Rush Limbaugh says today and decide what to do.
One option is to recognize that Rush Limbaugh’s steadfast, unquestioning support of President Trump is a viewpoint that is important to their audience, and decide that his value to the station has not been diminished, no matter what he says about what some have characterized as Trump “going rogue”.
Another option would be that it is time to use the three hours a day for programming more in line with their long history of serving the public.
I hope people in a lot of cities recognize that the influence of Limbaugh has been raised to a level beyond anything ever experienced….those who present him have a responsibility to reconsider his value to their stations.
Every Trump Official With a Conscience Must Resign
The president descended to his lowest point yet on Tuesday. It’s time for his cabinet members and advisers to do what’s right.

…Trump has done his aides a favor in stripping all ambiguity from the dilemma of serving under him. He has not issued a controversial order and asked ideologically rigid people to follow it. He has instead confronted them with the question of whether a racist president who vouchsafes neo-Nazi violence deserves to be propped up by government executives of good conscience. It’s an easy call, and those who don’t see it that way will be noted in the public record when they keep showing up to work…

Agreed, except for him respecting the N. Korea leaders.
Trump currently is bullying N. Korea but has made comments in the past supporting Kim. I believe that Trump would like to be a dictator and N. Korea definitely lets nobody protest. He liked Saudi Arabia because there were no protestors.
Trump was impressed that Saudis treated him like royalty. Even projected his profile on a five-story building
You’re completely right again, Carol Malaysia!
Tweet this! POTUS: Poisonous, Outrageous, Total, Utter, Schmuck.

Good one! Thanks, Fred!
Thanks for posting this.

CITIZEN and organization response will be key. Silence is the most dangerous enemy.

Because our representatives and we the people are allowing greed and corruption to rule and ruin this country.

The Trumps think they are the Romanovs, the ruling family. They should learn what happened to the Romanovs.

REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE SPOKESWOMAN

President @realDonaldTrump once again denounced hate today. The GOP stands behind his message of love and inclusiveness!
In other words, she is saying that the Relublicans are just fine with the KKK and praise of Trump by David Duke.
Too many. Republicans are cowards. They are afraid to name Trump as a hate monger and danger to the nation.
It’s become a cult of personalty. They can’t hide behind the “party of Lincoln” phrase anymore.
