Soon we can forget about Chris Christie. He is term limited. He will be gone.
But here is typical Christie. All state beaches are closed because of a stalemate on the state budget. But Chris Christie went to a state beach with his family because the state owns a beach house. The beach was gloriously empty. Just for him and his family.
He said if you want the use of the beach house, run for governor.
After this incident, his ratings are probably about 10%, if that.
Vintage Christie.

Ugh, 8 years of this shameless despicable bully. The worst anti-education governor ever! Doesn’t he have a swimming pool at his mansion in north NJ? This shutting down of the government is totally unnecessary but it’s typical Christie. Maybe if the Democrats had backed their own candidate, Barbara Buono, in the last election cycle, we would have been rid of CC 4 years ago. But no, they betrayed Buono in the most heinous fashion. None of the other Democrats dared run against CC. Buono was the only one who had the guts to take him on and for her courage she was rewarded with multiple knives to the back. CC used the carrot, the stick, severed horse heads and the kitchen sink on the weak kneed Ds.

Does this mean no fireworks at liberty state park . Seriously the Governor should get a refund on his bariatric surgery . He may not have a swimming pool but those who voted for him do.

I want to know what brand Christie’s beach chair is. That is one incredibly strong and durable product…5 stars. Is it OK to feel sorry for an inanimate object?

Well, apparently his lap-band stomach surgery did not work as well as he thought.
You’re supposed to watch what you eat, even after the surgery. You can only eat smaller meals, which helps, but if you eat very, very frequent but high calorie smaller meals, it’s not going to help that much.

Yes we hate the bloviating blowhole of a governor here in NJ. Soon, he’ll be history. I would imagine he will have soft landing, but I do hope his political ship has sunk.

This is a typical ugly American, Christie move. The beach is closed for the “little people.” not baby beluga.

It is hard to imagine that this man was once thought of as a real possibility for nomination for president. Now the best he can do is a imitation of a beached marine mammal.

I love Christie, just like I love DeVos. Chris Christie makes public education look good. He jumps on the charter/testing bandwagon, then winds up caught with Bridgegate, winds up standing as a dazed wallflower behind candidate Donald during Vladimir Putingate, and winds up cavalierly defending what I assume will be called Beachgate. If he and Grizzlygate DeVos are the faces of privatization and testing, then public education comes out looking comparatively winsome, and very deservedly so.

May be the last we see of him in politics but don’t be surprised if he starts showing upon talk and/or news shows. He loves that spotlight.
There will always be a nice stinking swamp with a soft landing spot for these slimeballs and windbags.

Christie and wife are no different than Bill and Melinda Gates and Z-berg and wife. They take common goods to benefit themselves.
At least the news media didn’t look for someone to quote who condoned Christie. That in itself is note worthy.

& not only that, Linda, but it is sickening (literally) that he has gold-plated insurance & has done with it just what insurance companies decry “commoner” Americans for, raising the rates by living an unhealthy lifestyle (as is being suggested w/ACA–raise rates 5x for seniors, & exclude those w/pre-existing conditions, or let them stay on, but charge them exorbitant premiums). He used his (taxpayer provided, again gold-standard) insurance to have bariatric surgery, &, yet, he eschews (or should I say “chews”?) the requisites for the purposes of the procedure–for continued good health, eat less, & healthy foods, lose more weight, exercise. What did he do when he came to Chicago? Went out to eat w/our guv, & ordered a wildly unhealthy meal (double cheeseburgers–more than 1, as I recall–& a milkshake). When a (female) reporter questioned him, he replied, “I eat what I want, baby!” (Nice sexist touch, there, as well.)
He is an all-around (pun intended) disgrace. I hope he disappears into oblivion the same way as has that other “great presidential potential” guy, Bobby Jindal.
And, please, both of you: stay out of ILL-Annoy. We already have Duncan & Vallas. (Thanks, Bridgeport!)
