For the last few days, Trump has been obsessed with cable news stations, especially Morning Joe and CNN.
This morning, he unleashed a tweet storm of rants against news stations.
I am no fan of Joe and Mika because Morning Hoe has a long history of featuring critics of public schools and never inviting anyone who disagreed with them (like me). Whether it was Rhee or Klein or any other mouthpiece for privatization and teacher bashing, Mika and Joe had an open door.
But it is bizarre to see the so-called POTUS ranting about news people.
Not only is it undignified, I want shout loudly what Harry S Truman said:
IF YOU CAN’T STAND THE HEAT, STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN.
Meanwhile, there are real issues that affect the lives of people, like healthcare, that Congress is allegedly debating. Meanwhile, Trump will meet with Putin. What will he say other than “Thank you”?
And the only thing on Trump’s alleged mind is Joe and Mika, Greta, and other cable news shows.
Is he just trying to distract attention from the real news about the destructive GOP agenda or is it simply all about his ego?

Morning Hoe is a lot of posturing. Freudian slip?

I’m not surprised by Trump’s fixation since he is the most frequent topic on most of the cable news shows. Is there any cable show that does have you or other representatives of public schools more than once a year or even just that much?
I don’t think it should be union representatives because that stirs up all kinds of irrelevant teacher bashing reactions. You are the only one I’ve ever seen and I found the interviewers to be clearly pro reform. Who else can we recommend to speak for us and to whom?

Most teachers would do a great job explaining to the news media how difficult teaching is today.
Many other figures to call upon: Pasi Sahlberg, Yong Zhao, Jitu Brown, John Kuhn, Anthony Cody, Carol Burris, any member of NPE board.

I look forward to meeting them and you at the NPE conference.

He is senile.
It is that simple.
He never wanted to be President, and has no idea of what is needed. This video says it all… this is who he is, and the world he inhabits.

He is also, and has ALWAYS BEEN a malignant narcissist, doubling down when criticized; any disagreement is viewed as an attack on him “every barb seems to hit home, and he vengefully attacks his tormentors in full view of the world. He does not appear to realize that he is embarrassing himself. “https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/30/opinion/president-trump-melting-under-criticism.html?emc=edit_th_20170701&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=50637717
He is a consummate liar https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/06/23/opinion/trumps-lies.html and has always been so. His history of fraud is available on the net.
“Where America, until recently, had at its helm a Commander-in-Chief whom other countries acknowledged as a global leader and a figure of stature even if they didn’t like his policies, it now has something very different: an oafish Troll-in-Chief who sullies his office daily. http://www.newyorker.com/news/john-cassidy/donald-trump-will-go-down-in-history-as-the-troll-in-chief?mbid=nl__daily&CNDID=45272181&mbid=nl_TNY%20Template%20-%20With%20Photo%20(189)&CNDID=45272181&spMailingID=11381072&spUserID=MTgwNzgwOTcyMzEyS0&spJobID=1182658141&spReportId=MTE4MjY1ODE0MQS2

According to those who have written extensively about DT, including the late Wayne Barrett of the Village Voice, and David Cay Johnston, it’s all about revenge, which was the lesson he took from his mentor, Roy Cohn. When one thinks back to the humiliation he “suffered” from Obama at the WH correspondents’ dinner, it explains why DT is so eager to undo every single law or rule that Obama put into place. DT wants to obliterate O, country be damned. This is personal.
The professional GOP politicians leave this train wreck of a man in place because he is a useful distraction from all the damage they are doing in Congress and in the various agencies. The MSM is fixated on DT’s insanity. The real damage goes mostly un or under reported. The Koch-owned GOP will leave DT in place, unless his antics become counter productive to the advancement of their agenda. If that point is reached, he’s toast, and they’ll burn him to a crisp.

Trumpette is mean spirited and vile. He is taking what he learned from the bullying world of lowbrow reality television and applying it to the dignity of our highest office. He wants to get rid of news credibility, and in that regard he is dangerous. He is just a fascist, and Citizen’s United and Al Gore SCOTUS decisions are paving the way.

He is trying to do anything to distract from and discredit all his detractors and the investigation. Other than his own wealth there is no Trump policy he cares about. Eliminating Taxes would be highest on the list . Especially the inheritance tax.
If you are suggesting that we should forget the clown show and concentrate on policy . I say we have to do both. The American people are too stupid for policy . His election proves that, 43 percent stayed home. Enabling him to win the election with one third of eligible voters. .
I would say we should be grateful he puts on the clown show. . If not for Russia-gate and Buffoon-gate . The ACA would be gone, Tax Reform that gave away trillions and a host of right wing legislation, including vouchers and voter disenfranchisement ….would already be law.
If marching around Trump properties with the nude pictures of Melania keeps him tweeting for 2-4 years or until impeachment . I am game.

There’s an old saying “don’t try to teach a pig to sing, it annoys the pig”.
I think we spend too much time and energy trying to figure 45 out and he is not deserving. We just have to figure out where we go from here. Push forward on progress and resist the efforts to dismantle public education and social justice.

Instead of reading his presidential daily briefings, or even the book The US Constitution for Dummies, or a legitimate newspaper that he can quote from without humiliating himself and our country, trumpelstiltskins watches TV and maniacally tweets threats. One of the former Watergate prosecutors said on MSNBC that trump is a prosecutor’s dream. Apparently, his tweets are corroborating much of the evidence against him.

Not so sure why it’s a concern as they seem to not recognize he is the POTUS and they [the news media] treat him worse than any other POTUS in history. Since they do not seem to want to be objective, why is a retort a problem?

Stan,
His behavior is so undignified that he deserves all the critics he gets. You and Trump think he is treated worse than any president in history, but that is not true. Nixon–who was 1,000 times smarter, than Trump, more experienced than Trump–was treated far worse than Trump, and he knew that dignity is part of the office.
But Trump can’t be blamed. He doesn’t know what “dignity” means. He is a grifter. He is the first president in history elected by a foreign power and the first president in history who refused to divest himself of financial conflicts.

The orange haired buffoon is a delusional ,narcissistic, demagogue, whose attacks on minorities and his “enemies list” including the press, resemble actions we are used to seeing from two-bit fascist dictators .
Add to that it will be proven that his campaign had contacts with a foreign(hostile ) power, committing class B felonies (up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $15,000, or both)

Innocent people do not fire the Republican FBI director “because of the Russia investigation.”
Do not Discredit the special prosecutor at the start of his investigation .
Innocent people say here are my tax returns take your best swing because there is nothing there.
Innocent people do not float the idea; “so what if there was collusion its not a crime ” Gigs up!!!!! .
Whether it rises to the following is for the American people to decide . And when the facts are finally revealed, as I believe they will be..There is no smoking gun it melted.
“Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
