This is unbelievable. The Republican-dominated State Senate in North Carolina vengefully cut education funding from Democrats’ districts in a 3 am vote.
Having gerrymandered the state to keep Tea Party control, the Republicans have lost all sense of decency.

And THIS is what it’s come to. If you want to know what’s wrong with the Republican Party of today, read this article. It’s not just that so many G.O.Pers seem to blindly follow their Demagogue-in-Chief …it’s this “death by a thousand cuts”, often in the middle of the night, behind closed doors. Yeah, some Democrats have done this sort of thing, too. (I’m talking about you, Andrew Cuomo.) But the sheer onslaught of the Republican assault on human decency (that IS the right word) is breathtaking. To these cowards, schools and even our children are just another weapon. I feel sorry for North Carolina….what a sick state.

Disgusting. How can a state remove funding, but only for certain counties? Doesn’t equal protection apply here?

Many are missing the nuance here. What they did was shift funding from poor black counties to poor white counties.
