Although advance notice was minimal, and most people had no idea that Speaker of the House Paul Ryan was visiting Eva Moskowitz’s Success Academy Charter School in Harlem, hundreds of protesters showed up. Ryan briefly stopped in the Mickey Mantle public school (P.S. 811) that is co-located with Success Academy. The public school is devoted to students with special needs. Eva tried to push out PS 811 a few years ago to make more space for her school, which is infamous for excluding the students enrolled in the Mickey Mantle School.

It is ironic that Ryan would be invited to visit any school in Harlem, since his health care bill will leave the parents of these students without health insurance.

I am concerned about who will be appointed by Trump to head the FBI. The possibilities are frightening.
Jared Kushner? Steve Bannon? Someone who led his campaign in any state?

Comey was wrong but I can’t help wondering if he was getting too close to finding out that the Orange Idiot has serious connections to Russia. Wouldn’t be a bit surprised if that was the real reason for firing him.
What an unprofessional, unfeeling way for tRump to handle this firing. He is a disaster of a person.
Scarier still will be not seeing the members of the FBI go into full revolt when improper leadership is installed.
Great to see these protests and hopefully Eva linked to Trump, Ryan, DeVos, etc. I don’t won’t watch her anymore—can anyone tell me if Rachel Maddow has discovered pubic schools?
