This is a very funny parody of a standardized test, one that reflects the issues and concerns of our new Secretary of Education.
Only question left out: Is there anything funny about having a Secretary of Education who knows nothing about education? Answer yes or no.
Another one: What kind of president would appoint someone to lead the U.S. Department of Education who wants to get rid of public schools attended by nearly 90% of all American children? An essay question. Or, a constructed response, limited to two sentences.

Secretary DeVos has been working on education issues for many years. How can anyone deduce that she knows nothing about education?
And how can anyone deduce that Secretary DeVos has any desire to get rid or public schools?

For starters, you could search Diane’s blog for “DeVos.” There’s much info in many pages of posts on the nature of DeVos’ work on ed issues– which demonstrates complete obliviousness to education as a field of knowledge, or to the precise nature of the public education received by 90% of the nation’s children. Her involvement, broad-brush, has been simply to promote private evangelical schools, along w/any govtl policy that would accomplish that end.
You will find as well plenty of backing for the view that she supports replacing public schools with private options, using public $ to do so. In perusing the first few pp of that search, the first comprehensive article linked that covers all this is:

Even w/o all that research, you could just look at the overall picture. DeVos has mightily influenced MI’s ed policy since the ’90’s. During that time period, MI ‘s scores on state stdzd tests & PISA have sunk from above-ave to bottom.
