Press Secretary Sean Picer explained that when Trump accused President Obama of wire tapping the phones in Trump Tower, he didn’t mean that the President was wire tapping the phones in Trump Tower.

We have to learn that when Trump tweets something, it should not be taken literally. Or figuratively. Or metaphorically. Or in any other way. It is Trump-speak.
And Trump-Speak can be anything the malignant narcissist wants it to be with multiple choice alternative explanations (his choice) depending on his mood or what’s going on.
And that his tweets should not be taken SERIOUSLY.
Everything he says and does should be taken seriously. In fact, he should be impeached and removed from the White House. He should be in prision. The malignant narcissist is dangerous for the entire world.
IMPEACH! Every word he utters matters.
Trump speak = double plus bad
Two legs bad… four legs good
Trump speak is click bait and there are many who seem to be hooked.
I click to get a laugh while shaking my head in disbelief. But his followers still believe. He will make the big change. I wonder how long it will take before they realize that they have been had.
Spin as they may, the truth is all too clear. Spicer’s lies about Trump meaning something different from tapping his phone and that Trump was referring to the Obama administration and not Obama personally, don’t fly because Trump was so explicit in this tweet:
“How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!”
Trump’s lack of impulse control resulted in him screwing himself over when he audaciously smeared Obama. If possible, Obama should sue Trump for libel.
“You have to bear in mind that the President is a moron.”
An “ILLITERATE” MORON. Everything he says and posts matter! IMPEACH.
I will NEVER EXCUSE that DUMP. He is NOT a two-year-old although he is arrested at that age. And if he is arrested at two, he should NOT run this country. He makes me ILL. He is SCUM. IMPEACH.
Wonder what the advance for Spicer’s memoir will be?
Can a person collect disability for job-related cognitive dissonance?
Booklady,
Brilliant!
Perhaps he really meant “taping”…you know, ONE p.
Unpresidented!!
Whoops–meant to add–“taping”–ONE p–is what Nixon did.
Where’s a Rosemary Woods when you need her?!
Mr. Trump’s tweets are a convenient diversion for the GOP who can pass legislation in the dark of night while the media reacts to tweets…
His claim was based on the phrase being in quotes (which only happened once). The other times it was not. I never knew that quotation marks converted the words they enclose into meaningless blather.
“Scare quotes” mean “I didn’t mean it.”
Also, when Trump tweets, the absence of scare quotes means: I didn’t mean it.

Spicer has a problem reading. He claims wire tapping was written in double quotes since Orange Donnie didn’t mean literal surveillance, and didn’t mean that Obama did it personally.
Here is the OD’s last tweet about the issue so you can judge both claims of Spicer
How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!
Here what Spicer would say
In his last post, our genius president made it completely clear what he meant, so that people with lesser brain can also comprehend his deep tweets. For example, he spelled “tapp” with two p’s because he didn’t mean literal wire tap, but the general idea of surveillance. I’d say, changing the grammar so simply and economically, yet innovatively to express such a difference in interpretation deserves praise and respect from the media not scolding.
It’s, “Oh…you screwed up again, Donald! Now we’ve gotta clean up this mess. Again.”.
So Trump accused Obama of wiretapping, when wiretapping means attaching a recording device to a wire of a landline phone. Big deal. We dial phone numbers even though rotary dials are a thing of the past. We often drink out of plastic glasses.
No matter the linguistic currency of “wiretap,” Mr. Trump has delivered a baseless smear against his predecessor, apparently to keep Congress from investigating the much better-documented challenge to his legitimacy.
