Ridiculous, immature, trashy, and shallow: that’s what cheeto’s tweets are. I don’t want him to stop tweeting, though. He uses social media to speak directly to the masses, skipping past the press. It’s working–we know an awful lot about him that we would never have known otherwise. And he continues to dig his own grave, screw himself into the ground, add fuel to the fire, choose your self-destruction metaphor. Know thy enemy. SENATOR HARRIS ENSURING HUMAN RIGHTS!
WASHINGTON — California Sen. Kamala Harris will introduce her first bill in the Senate on Thursday to guarantee legal counsel for refugees and other travelers blocked at U.S. ports of entry, a bill intended to address the chaos that engulfed people trying to enter the country in the face of President Trump’s travel ban.
Trump’s Jan. 27 executive order banned U.S. entry for 90 days for anyone from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen. It also placed a 120-day ban on all U.S. admission of refugees who are fleeing violence and persecution in their home countries and indefinitely suspended admission of refugees from Syria.
Several courts have blocked it and the order is currently under review by a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. Any ruling is expected to be appealed to the Supreme Court.
Harris, a Democrat elected in November after serving as the state’s attorney general, quickly took a high-profile stand against the ban. She joined a protest at the White House on the Sunday after it took effect, as thousands of protesters converged on San Francisco International Airport and other major ports of entry in opposition to the ban.
She also sent a letter that Sunday to Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly demanding that border officials carry out court orders that blocked the ban, after hearing from attorneys in California and other states that legal permanent residents and travelers holding valid visas were still being denied entry into the country or were being delayed. The administration later clarified that the ban did not apply to permanent legal residents or U.S. passport holders.

That’s only 21 months from now and counting down, and on that date all 435 members of the House of Representatives, plus 33 Senator seats, and 14 state governorships can be voted out of the hands of extremists. It only takes gaining a few seats in the Senate to completely stop all the unfair and insane legislation. So keep fighting, keep speaking out — relentlessly, relentlessly, relentlessly — because there is no Electoral College scheme that can save them from the pure majority vote of We the People in the 2018 elections.

The online survey included 500 nationally representative, full-time American workers, and found that 87 percent of them read political social-media posts during the day, and nearly 50 percent reported seeing a political conversation turning into an argument in the workplace. Twenty-nine percent of respondents say they’ve been less productive since the election.
While simply reading political posts at work isn’t in itself a cause for concern, it’s the potential negative impact it has on workers that could pose a challenge for employers…

Neither my husband nor I work in an echo chamber, nor do my sons. We are all flaming libs compared to our co-workers despite living in blue NJ-NY metro area. It has never been wise to get personal in the workplace.

I don’t think it’s fair to public school kids and parents.
DeVos offered nothing to public school parents and kids. Ed reform offers nothing to public school kids and parents. Stop using us and our schools.
We all know what ed reform thinks of public schools. If you’re going to use our schools as punching bags to get elected or appointed then don’t bother us when it’s time to rehabilitate your image. Get lost. We’re busy. No more consultancy contracts or speaking engagements or promoting your careers with public school criticism. We don’t need your help.

Where is the concern over new Trump exec order re: task force? Free reign to appoint anyone he wants to investigate crimes they have yet to define and penalties they determine? Sooo. Protesting just may be a threat to public safety? Like the vague wording to grant wide ranging power. This is terrifying, but all attention on ban! He is so good at Red Herring. This is cause for concern!
