Excellent points, speakers.
Memorable moments– parent with 5 children who have been in enrolled in 27 schools. Schools closed, no warnings. ” Good choices” are not there. Charter operator at a close school takes desks, computers, etc.
The scandals will continue if Devos is cleared, and it looks like she will get in. Pay to play with taxpayer money is officially approved by those who confirm her.

Here’s the former Obama Administration official who ran Race To The Top:
Try to find a single mention of US public schools. It’s ALL charters and vouchers.
Why do public schools hire these people as consultants? Why not hire a person who supports public schools? We’re paying the whole ed reform echo chamber millions in fees.
Here’s a suggestion: don’t hire people who don’t want your school to exist. Charter schools would never do it. Public schools shouldn’t either.

Trump’s nominees have virtually all if not all been counterproductive to the office to which they have been nominated.
CATACLYSM in the making.
DeVos just is another person to wreck the office to which she is nominated.
People wanted change.
They sure got it.
One can only wonder if the change they sought is what they will get.
Democracy itself is on the line.
Many have called Trump Fascist. Define the term and compare with Trump’s speech and actions.

According to this, all public schools are chronically failing. They’re fond of the giant chalk lettering graphic so beloved by ed reform orgs- FAILING.
That’s what they think of your schools. Don’t expect any support from DC. You’ll be paying thousands of public employees to go after your kid’s school, which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
On the other hand, if you accept the federal voucher they’re planning and immediately transfer to the preferred private sector schools, you’ll have a huge team of cheerleaders. To recap: public schools? BAD Charter and private schools? GOOD
That’s the extent of the “science” here.

I’d like a head’s up on which public schools the federal employees plan to hit first with funding cuts. We need time to plan for local funding. Also, once they no longer fund public schools do we have to adopt their dumb expensive fads or can we just completely ignore them?
