Join NAACP Voter Fund
for Facebook LIVE broadcast of my film on
How Trump Stole It
I have a simple request.
I’m asking that, this Thursday, at 8pm ET/5pm PT, you join the NAACP-National Voter Fund, Rainbow/PUSH, Josh Fox of Climate Revolution and many, many more––and “share” the Facebook LIVE broadcast of my documentary––the film that exposes exactly how Trump and his cronies attacked the voting rights of a million minority voters to steal the White House.
That’s all we are asking: Between 8pm and 9pm Eastern, on Inauguration Eve, you “share” the live-stream with your Facebook followers.
The Best Democracy Money Can Buy: A Tale of Billionaires & Ballot Bandits, follows my crew’s undercover investigations for Rolling Stone and BBC-TV.
“…Mainstream journalism has often struggled to cover the manipulation of data and the distortion of reality driven by billionaires like the Koch brothers or even Donald Trump… Palast slices through all the B.S.”
– The Village Voice
Pass this on to your friends, your organizations, and anyone who wants to get un-stupid about the theft of the 2016 election. I’ll be leading an online discussion right after the broadcast: What do we do now?
Starting now you can share and tweet the trailer on Facebook:

On Thursday, January 19 at 8pm ET, go to https://www.facebook.com/GregPalastInvestigates/. (If you’re late, you can scroll back to the beginning.)
The film (with the help of my friends Rosario Dawson, Shailene Woodley Ice-T, Willie Nelson and more), tells the story of the GOP’s weapon of mass vote destruction – and exposes the billionaires behind Trump and the vote trickery.
The film was updated just this week. I guarantee: you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll get revved up to resist. Trump didn’t win––his billionaire backers swiped it. We can take it back. Will you join me?

Greg Palast also reported on the Al Gore fiasco. How the election was stolen. This is NOT new.
Small wonder that the USA populace has lost confidence in our government. Indeed, the best government money can buy.
Following is my latest letter to the editor.
.Paul Ryan’s idea for eliminating Obamacare; replace it with private corporations using competition to lower prices.
Competition exists now. Government; Office Health and Human Services Secretary Burwell’s annual salary, about $200,000 annually. Corporate Health Care provider CEOs: $5 – $36.6 million annually. Which is cheaper, taxes or checkbook?
Corporations are bought by other corporations. Retirement benefits are lost in the process. Government Social Security; promises made, promises delivered. Should relying on corporation promises make you nervous?
Greenspan was absolutely sure that competition, market forces would provide a great economy. Result; largest depression since the Great Depression.
Improve on Obamacare? Simple. Provide medicare for everyone. Every other industrialized country in the world does something similar providing better care for a fraction of the cost.
Obviously it won’t happen. Corporate, big moneyed interests own Republicans and too many Democrats. Post-truth supplants intellectualism.
Politics displace statesmanship. God help us.

On the subject of wonderful films, here is a little film by a neighbor, Wally Glickman, in Rockland County, sent to me by a friend.

How much money did each campaign – Clinton, Trump, Sanders, Stein – spend on the election?

Does that include how much Putin spent to elect Trump or not?
Does that include how many billions were spent by the right wing to own state houses where tens of thousands of legal voters were struck off the rolls?

That doesn’t answer the question.

Besides the Al Gore there was also the John Kerry Fiasco. How many people reading this realize that in 2004, the Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell hired the Bush campaign’s IT guru to run the official Ohio state vote reporting network? What could go wrong?
But this brings up the problem with Greg Palast – the media will not touch his reporting because it suggests each of our elections have been manipulated. Good on Rolling Stone, The Guardian, BBC, Thom Hartmann and Diane Ravitch for taking him seriously. The evidence speaks for itself.
This year, the culprit was “vote stripping” where valid voters have their votes stolen because they have the same name as someone else who voted in another state. It’s called Crosscheck and there should be a criminal investigation right now, but there isn’t.
Why do Democrats lie down and take this? They are consoled by billionaires…

To answer your last question: Because it pays for them to do so. They are not so much consoled by billionaires but bought and paid for by said monied elite.

I assume you include Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren as 2 politicians bought and paid for?
If not, why haven’t they made this an issue?

I really don’t have a clue as to why “they haven’t made this an issue”. Never really looked into their stances on polytickle financing.

Duane,
You already posted that the reason that Democrats don’t bring this up is because they are bought and paid for. So yes, you do claim to know exactly why Warren and Sanders aren’t making this an issue.
I truly don’t understand you as you seem to have one set of standards for some politicians and another for other politicians. I guess you don’t view the fact that Warren and Sanders have completely ignored this — just as Sanders has barely spoken out about the privatization of public education or the proliferation of automatic weapons — as signs as he is bought and paid for by the gun lobby and both of by the big donors at the DNC who don’t want anyone to know about all the voters struck off the rolls that Sanders and Warren don’t care about as they go chasing the big donor money.

NYCpsp,
Please show me (paste and date reference) where I already posted “that reason”.

As far as your second paragraph, I am confused as to what point you are trying to make. For example to what does the “this” in “have completely ignored this”. TIA, Duane

“This” is Greg Palast’s reporting.
Neither Bernie Sanders nor Elizabeth Warren seem to have taken this up as an issue, despite it apparently being well known for years. Were they ignorant, uncaring, or “bought and paid for”?
Maybe whatever drove those two to ignore Palast’s reporting is the same reason that other Democrats are ignoring it.

Thanks for the clarification!
I must say that I don’t know why the Dims have been ignoring it. Perhaps they benefit also?

Palast’s Rolling Stone article is a must read… many progressive bloggers wonder why the DNC didn’t pursue the information he presented about the Interstate Voter Crosscheck as opposed to the Russian connection… the 7,000,000 disenfranchised voters due to this ALEX initiative combined with the hundreds of thousands of “follows” denied voting rights due to their arrests for drug offenses that are no longer felonies had a clear link to Mr. Trump’s victory
