A reader sent me this photograph of a wall facing Dr. Steve Perry’s school in Hartford, Connecticut.
After posting about it, I happened to meet the artist who created it at a community event. He emailed the photo to me. I enlarged it, framed it, and it sits on my desk.

Amazing, perfect location.

You’ve got big time street cred now, Doc. When the kids know who you are, that means you’ve “arrived.” This is on fleek (which, according to my students, means amazing). Kudos!

Let me know when he gets that as a forehead tattoo, reversed so it reads in a mirror.

“Public Good ” Exactly why they are in the cross hairs. Actually my Favorite Billboard is on the FDR drive a few blocks south of NYU at the entrance to the Financial District . .
Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine would agree.
From far enough back you can’t tell its an add for a storage company .

Can we have permission to post photo only with credit to the photographer?

I don’t like to brag, but after I kindly tried to show him that picture, I learned I’ve been blocked on Twitter by Dr. Steve Perry.

I’m very envious.
I’ve never been blocked by anyone.
Maybe it’s because people can’t understand my goofy poems.

I don’t mean to gloat, but he blocked me on CNN from getting real news by doing a show.

“Graffiti grows in Hartford”
(Diane Ravitch versified)
Graffiti high up on the wall
Says “Schools are not a business”
“But public good for one and all”
Though some have clearly missed this
