I always look at these FairTest posts to see if anything is happening in my state, Maryland. Again nothing. Our unions, our PTAs, all just shrugging their shoulders and watching our profession being buries. Very disheartening.

Hang in there because it is coming to Maryland too.
60,000 opt outs in New York in 2013-2104.
More than 400,000 this past year.
In 2015-2016, we go over 1,000,000.
New York’s politicians in Albany have slowly been arrested, and we are waiting for the shoe to drop on Cuomo…it will be headline news when he is taken out in handcuffs.
Lawsuits are being brought up across the state over teacher ratings based on junk science.

Let the opt-outs ring out true in Duncan’s exiting waltz and the continued exposure of the destructive meddling and coercion via Gates, Klein, Murdoch, Broad and so many others using dupes, thugs and hucksters like Cuomo, E4E, TFA and so many other politicians and, alas, sometimes our union leaders!
