As our dear friend KrazyTA would say, much said, few words. Brilliant. I’d say hilarious, but it’s too painfully true.

This one was good, but I think this was better:
“WASHINGTON—Citing the need to measure student achievement as its top priority, the U.S. Department of Education launched a new initiative Thursday to replace the nation’s entire K-12 curriculum with a single standardized test.
According to government officials, the four-hour-long Universal Education Assessment will be used in every public school across the country, will contain identical questions for every student based on material appropriate for kindergarten through 12th grade, and will permanently take the place of more traditional methods such as classroom instruction and homework assignments.
Officials said the initiative would also focus on improving teacher performance by tying teachers’ salaries to the test scores of the students they hand the assessment to.”
Perfect 🙂

Very good
but
as mentioned many times before.
The mainstream media is owned and propagandized by 5 or 6 big corporations. Their agenda is to make money, not to disseminate REAL news.

How can this kind of rehtoric be entertaining to anyone? It’s childish and sadly indicative of the critical thinking skills learned in our schools over the last thirty years. Shame on you Diane, this subject is too important to be so poorly satirized.

Yep. One more on con: It Japanizes American education by goading authority and private education promoters into ‘test score panic attack'(like false alarm on PISA 2003 in J-land) to lobby local/state/federal government.
