According to this article at Huffington post, State Superintendent of Education Glenda Ritz is thinking about running against Governor Pence next year. She won more votes than he did in 2012.
He has been harassing Ritz ever since in an effort to belittle her. He made a fool of himself nationally by signing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, then backtracking when national corporations complained that they would boycott Indiana if the state allowed anti-gay discrimination.
Ritz has a chance to restore common sense and decency to Indiana. Go, Glenda!

I do like that Glenda is showing a lot of “grit” in opposing him, but she can best serve Indiana as State Superintendent of Public Instruction where she has been valiantly fighting the good fight for us teachers since 2012.
I don’t see Governor Pence (from whom the word “Pence-orship” was invented) clutching his beads and falling on his fainting couch over her candidacy. (“Oh Mitt–would you please be a dea’h and bring me a mint julep? I feel an attack of the vapors coming on and I’m just about to swoon!”)

She will have my support

Oh, I will surely support her, but I think an even better ticket would be for Glenda Ritz to be running-mate for Karen Tallian who is also running (see earlier post). Tallian has some experience as a legislator.

Yes, as Hannah says there is another lady running, announced her candidacy. I do not know that much about her but most anybody would be an improvement on Pence and he is in deep doo doo land I along with MANY others think.

Glenda has my support, I hope she will be able to kick the governor in the political cojones good and hard. He and the state have abused their executive and legislative powers and Ms. Ritz has been abused as well. It is a gesture against democracy, against women, and a will, reckless disregard of power management.

Ritz should run. It is all about name recognition and she has it. She also has a great network of help from the last election.
