I love this version and the bald headed guy does a great job! I keep hoping Billy himself will get on board and sing it himself. That would be sure to go viral!!
Here’s another reason for parents, teachers & principals to opt out. School districts in TN, Texas, FL, IL, NJ, UT have adopted this Common Core aligned curriculum & assessment package from a company called Measurement, Inc. They are marketing a writing curriculum that will be scored by machines as well as a series of computerized curricula, formative & summative assessments. http://www.measurementinc.com/
The author of one of the white papers admits that the summative test has LITTLE DIAGNOSTIC VALUE.
“The lone summative assessment in Figure 1 represents a global end of course or end of grade assessment. As such, it focuses on the high level concepts and rules of the course. While its items will span the full range of depth of knowledge (DOK), its content will be of necessity quite general. Such tests have little diagnostic value and serve primarily to inform instructional leaders at the building, district, and even state level about progress of large groups of student”
Who would want this type of instruction for their kids? Even the privatizers in Silicon Valley send their kids to schools that do not allow computers. Seriously, this is a scam.
Well done! I hope it goes viral.

Our poet meets a piano. The arts certainly enhance the message,I guess the elite are tone deaf too.

This is hilarious. Thanks for putting a smile into the cloud of doom. Why don’t ALL parents realize that the tests are a waste of time?
