Jon Stewart has a very funny spoof of the corporate good-will television ad run by Koch Industries. You deserve a laugh today. Enjoy!

I have a difficult time laughing at political spoof these days. In this instance the Koch Brothers propaganda will prove to be far too effective during the upcoming election cycle. There are still far too few people who can see through it.

How is George Soros any different?
Oh I get it, he supports the other side of the political world so that makes his money and influence righteous and virtuous and immune to spoofing by popular comedians posing as journalists.

Compare (1) amount each spends (2) transparency (3) interests served, e.g. a contribution to feed the hungry vs. lax regulation on fracking.
Anticipating the ditto head response on union political spending-union members, unlike plutocrats, live and pay taxes in our communities. And, they haven’t gamed the tax system like the hedge funds, with their carried interest.

The final sentence of the skit identifies the David Koch Theater. The president of the theater is on the TIAA-CREF Board of Overseers. Her mission on the TIAA-CREF Board is , “To forward the cause of education and promote the welfare of the teaching profession and other charitable purposes.” The Open Secrets website lists TIAA-CREF PAC spending -$10,000 for Paul Ryan. An Atlantic Monthly writer quoted Ryan’s education policy as, “cut and privatize”.
Is this situation, irony, hypocrisy, lack of due diligence or____?
