Well deserved. Read this post on growing opposition to the Common Core, including the author’s comments, if you want a taste of how patient and thorough he is in gathering information and explaining his positions:

Reading his blog you get a sense of genuine inquiry. He’s always looking for answers, but even more importantly, he’s always looking for the right questions to ask. That partly explains why his work isn’t easily dismissed.

Congrats… a voice of sanity and reason amid the madness.
But then there is the madness… John King has earplugs in his ears. He recently sent out an email expounding the merits of common core and included this absolutely CLUELESS ( Rhee”esque” commentary from a puppet administrator)… read and either weep or puke or do both… and this is just one entry

I have read many of your pieces, maybe the only articles I read at Education Week Teacher, which all too often is pitching hi-tech solutions and magic elixirs along with sound education practice. YOU are the best!
