Great interview. Great answers. Keep getting the word out.

Solid piece, but see the contra slanted piece in Slate, written by two charter school, ‘reform’ advocates; the latter piece did not cite any evidence. One wo would think that DeBlasio is the devil’s represetotone and Ms. Moskowitz, a saint.

John A, a difference between me and the “reform” advocates. No one pays me for my views. I have no “skin” in that game.

And let me remind folks of the recompense of that selfless “Saint,” Eva M, with her $70 [rounded off in her favor] @student@year. Then there’s that non-striver Carmen F with her $0.19 [approx.] @student@year.
Or to quote from that most Krazy of TAs, er, myself:
“So for every student they serve, Eva M’s bank account gets 368 times what Carmen F receives.”

Señor Swacker: did I miss something, or is the definition of “Saint” been changed to suit this most cage busting achievement gap crushing innovation-filled twenty first century?

Outstanding interview. I love, Diane, that you keep coming back to the issue of poverty. Thank you for that.

Excellent. You have distilled the key talking points and they seem to be at-the-ready for the press, complete with zingers that do a lot of memorable work like “He is a PR man, not an educator,” said twice, not just once..You don’t need George Lakoff. He could learn some lessons from you.
