This kind of thing was always inevitable, and is largely why school administration was taken away from elected officials in the past. It’s a bitter lesson, still unlearned by most.
You being a historian, Diane, I can picture you smiling ruefully when you see this stuff. The settings and players change, but the dynamics, roles and themes are eternal.
