Privatization is in high gear in many cities–Chicago, DC, Memphis, Detroit, and elsewhere.
The corporate reformers say they want to save money but the closings don’t save money.
They say they want to improve education, but that hasn’t happened either.

So sad. America is quickly going downhill fast. We’re on a one-way trip for some dangerous and terrible things if something does not change!

It’s time to act! Write Senator Harkin, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Education and urge him to hold a senate hearing on the permanent closings of 100’s of our nation’s public schools with no review of policy or process of ever returning them to public, community oversight.
