Sorry about typos in last few posts.
Typing in airport on cellphone.
Auto correct took control.
Then I was in air and just landed in NYC

We are happy you are back safely. Rest and relax. God bless you.
Sorry to hear about the funeral back in Texas. Linda’s right–you should rest a bit. Thanks for all you do.
Don’t apologize for errors! We are educators and we always referred to typos to see if kids were paying attention. You always have our attention.
Diane — My condolences. I often use my cellphone to comment and don’t catch those annoying typos; however, this blog gives me a great deal of hope and inspiration. I eagerly await your new book. I am thrilled about all of the references & suggestions for further readings that I encounter on this blog. I am currently reading about PLAY. I am happy for the acquaintances I have “met” on this blog and feel that we will, through your tenacity & guidance make this standardized testing nonsense and teacher evaluations based on student scores disappear.
Take care.
Thank you.
Marge
My heartfelt condolences for your loss, Diane.
I don’t care about typos. I just need my daily Diane Ravitch. I hope your trip wasn’t too arduous. Thank you for all.
I am sorry that you had a difficult time in TX. I have taught 27 years in a town near Houston and am working on a dissertation about how high stakes testing affected the elementary school that I taught for 17 yrs and that my own children attended. Your information is invaluable. I wish that I could visit with you and get your input on my study.
Forget the typos, it is content that makes the difference.
Condolences to you, Diane.
How grateful we all are for your courage, caring, keen intelligence, and warrior spirit. What you are doing is extraordinarily important. Thank you.
My condolences to you and to yours. Take care of yourself.
Propper speling iz overated.
My condolences to you. Typos are humanizing…not to worry. I’ve become more conscious of my spelling and grammar as a result of this blog. A hearty thank you to you and everyone else who visits your/our living room!
I taught five and six year olds for years. I love invented spelling.
Yeah, but technological devices are devoid of invention when it comes to auto-correct. I have had the darn iPad sneak in the strangest words automatically–words that suggest a completely other world of thinking. Clearly, programmers at tech companies have a different thought-process compared to me. Maybe we should be happy that these devices do not suggest words based on content. No one would have original thoughts outside of these programmers.
A good rule is “type once, read over twice, then send.”
