   What a thorough review of the status of American education. Diane put the reality of the American classroom in perspective. Her ardent denunciation of standardized testing coincides with every teacher that I know. As a school board member, I am working to awaken parents and constituents to the threat represented by excessive testing, vouchers and value added approaches to teacher assessment. Brava Diane!

   Well stated, Glen, and it WILL happen! From some of the information Diane has been posting lately (e.g. “Pennsylvania Slows ALEC Juggernaut,” et. al.), the tide just may be turning. Folks are “mad as hell, and they’re not going to take it anymore!”
