Mother Crusader reports on an anomalous situation in New Jersey.
When the state wants to put charter schools in the suburbs, the state informs the district and parents have a chance to be heard. The suburbs are Governor Christie’s base.
But when the state decides to put charters in an urban district, why bother soliciting their opinion? Who cares what they think?
This story should be picked up by the press.
Besides the Herald, that is. I’m talking Asbury Park Press, Star Ledger, nj.com, NJ Public TV (that last one is a pipe dream because public television is awfully pro-Christie–go figure!), NY Times, etc.
This needs to go big. This slime-tactic needs to be exposed and the word, spread.
Yet there is only one comment on Mother Crusader’s article. Doesn’t anybody care?
Here is a person who understands the concept of fairness. When we were kids we picked teams by ourselves in the streets, at school, at scouts, and had no problem keeping things even. Now, a bunch of people who run things do it lopsided and act oblivious. Like she concludes, “And that’s just wrong.” Truer words were never spoken.
