Diane, I am so happy that you do so much to let everyone know what NCLB and RTTT are doing to our schools, especially our low-income schools. I read Dr. Berliner’s report, and I don’t understand why it isn’t referred to more often. Whenever I try to talk to some of my more affluent friends about this, they almost always try to blame bad parenting. How do we make them understand that poverty is the real reason?
