Jersey Jazzman has written a brilliant screenplay that tells what happened after the characters in the movie opened their charter school.
This is hilarious!

Something like turnaround fair play. Jersey Jazzman you got it right again. Loved it. Get it on YouTube and go viral.
Yes, send this to everyone….this would be great on Colbert or The Daily Show.
Never make it to Colbert
His booker is Jon Alter’s wife
Diane Ravitch
OMG! They are all in bed together….make me sick!
Alter was the one about to pop his cork on Melissa Harris Perry last week because someone mentioned the attrition rate at the KIPP Schools. He said, “I won’t let you speak about KIPP” ..something like that. And Melissa said it was her show and her guest could speak. Basically the guest talked about the 40%+ attrition rate. Alter looked like he was going to have a seizure. I suppose he and his wife are BFF’s with Wendy and Richard. Pompous fools stick together.
You really know how to rain on a parade, don’t you? Geez, is there any “liberal” who isn’t in this particular bed?
Diane,
I posted video links to Chris Hayes and Melissa Harris Perry from this morning…both supportive of our stance. They are awaiting moderation on two other threads. I hope they can get posted. I left short summaries. Thanks.
Hilarious BUT all too real! Parents want change and involvement, true voice & involvement! In actuality, the setup is for revolving door education. Not all education practices that helped students learn were failures. “We” fell asleep at the wheel and didn’t stay focused on those in power and what they were doing.Corporations became equated to people. Almost sounds like the “political” ruling from the Supreme Court, doesn’t it?!
He forgot the part about a nice glass of chianti….
Jersey Jazzman, absolutely brilliant. You have captured the absurdity of the “reform” movement.
Won’t Back Down, Pt.2 : What Have We Done?
BTW, is there any possibility we could raise the funding to actually get this sequel into production and distribution? Soon?
How much do you think it would cost? I haven’t a clue. Maybe a high school drama club would do it for us and all we need is flip camera and iMovie.
I wouldn’t put school-aged kids in jeopardy of getting any backlash. Time for a national casting call. Maybe Stephanie Rivera knows some Mason Gross School of the Arts undergrads at Rutgers who would be willing to put this project together.
Well, we could make it a real Jersey thing and get the cast from Jersey Shore.
Very cleverly done! Please share this with everyone. I agree, let’s get this into production!
Enjoy–nope incorrect word. Please click on this “sequel” to the movie “won’t back down”. Get your heads out of the sand, you folks that are all for the glorious advent of the Urban Hope or Charter School saviors to save out sad sad public schools. Humph. This Sequel tells it like it is – oops that is if Norcross and the other suits win this money run game against public schools.
