There will surely be an appeal, and more rounds of litigation.
But for the moment, there is good news. A county judge in Wisconsin struck down the law promoted by Governor Scott Walker to strip most public sector workers of their collective bargaining rights.
All those trying so hard to drive a stake in the heart of unionism must be in mourning. For now.
awesome news, i hope walker cries himself to sleep tonight
Yes indeed good news. A judge confirms what many of us in Wisconsin have known for a long time: Walker’s Act 10 unjust and unconstitutional!
Retired Wisconsin teacher here… the news actually made me squeal with delight! The sad thing is the number of top flight teachers who retired early due to the implementation of this law. I’m also concerned about the appeals, etc. but at least it will get a hearing in a court of law. The best part… found to be unconstitutional on both state and federal basis!
