Our President extends Christmas wishes to all, even the “radical left scum.” This is his effort to bring the country together, to extol himself, and to mark a day of Peace and Joy! Who better to celebrate and congratulate than himself?

I just saw a video of Trump talking to a child on the phone, saying that they were tracking Santa and making sure the “bad Santa” didn’t get into the country. The man is so sick that he can’t even keep divisive politics out of a conversation with a kid about Santa.

Here’s a better Christmas message from a much better man, Thom Hartmann. He understands history, politics and economics. He shares an alternative Christmas message about possibility. https://www.commondreams.org/opinion/santa-claus-for-billionaires

Lies and exaggerations (bragging) flows from Trump’s sadistic malignant narcissistic mouth like rusty tap water from a hotel as old or older than he is that’s located in Russia.
“It is not uncommon for orange or brown water in Russia to come from the hot tap due to rusted pipes in older buildings. Even high-ranking officials have publicly acknowledged having this problem.”

I can’t copy and paste the image for this chart for the 12-month percentage change, Consumer Price Index, selected categories

SECOND LIE:
U.S. crime rates, both violent and property, have generally fallen significantly since 2000, despite temporary upticks (like in 2020-2021), with rates in recent years near historic lows, though property crime shows fluctuations, and violent crime has recently seen declines from pandemic highs. You can find interactive charts on sites like USAFacts (property crime), Congress.gov (violent crime trends), Statista (violent crime), and the BJS NCVS Dashboard (victimization rates by type).

FOURTH LIE:
Over the last 25 years (roughly 2000-2024), U.S. annual inflation has varied significantly, averaging around 2.5% to 3%, but with sharp spikes like 2021-2022 (over 7%) and 2023 (around 4%), contrasting with lows like 2020 (1.2%) and periods of stability in the early 2000s, showing significant shifts from pre-pandemic low rates to post-pandemic surges.
The 12-month percentage change for inflation in November 2025 was 2.7%. U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. “Consumer Price Index.”
FIFTH LIE:
In fiscal year (FY) 2025, the U.S. government collected $195 billion in customs duties (tariff revenue), a significant increase from previous years due to new and expanded tariffs. This figure represents the total amount collected from all tariffs, including those implemented by President Trump in both his first and second terms.
SIXTH LIE:
Trump administration’s approach has weakened national security by isolating the U.S. and undermining core institutions:

At a Christmas Eve gathering, I asked one of the MAGA folk there what they thought of the fact that Trump claimed that there is “no inflation” in his message.
The response is revealing: “All the inflation is Biden’s doing! As soon as Trump has rounded up all the immigrants and sent them back to where they came from, you’ll see inflation go away and good-paying jobs come back, too.”
That response, and the conviction with which it was made, tells us that the MAGA mindset is perfectly able to dismiss inflation and every other problem and to place all the blame on Biden — meaning “Democrats — and on anyone who isn’t White.
At the root of this mindset is free-floating hate: Hate for ideology and cultural idioms that don’t align with those espoused by the MAGA leadership…hate for anyone who is not White.
There is no rational argument or evidence that can reduce, let alone eliminate such fundamental hate, which is why no matter what Trump does the number of his faithful MAGA minions does not diminish.
That’s not to say we should abandon trying to reason with them and to provide contrary evidence to them — but it does show us that the only path to political victory over the MAGA machine is to win over the independent voters and to motivate Democrats to actually turn out at the polls for every election, not just presidential elections.
What the Democratic Party is only now grudgingly acknowledging is that POLITICAL POWER FLOWS UPWARD, not downward. This fundamental truth was stated a full 30 years ago in 1989, when then-Christian Coalition leader Ralph Reed told the conservative Orange County [CA] Register newspaper that “The Right has learned that political power flows upward, not downward.”
Reed was in town to put into action the Christian Coalition’s new — and ultimately very, very effective — political strategy: To elect Coalition candidates to low-level political jobs, such as water boards, fire districts, sanitation districts, school boards, and other such political entities whose elections are usually “below the radar” of media — and voter — attention.
But once a political party controls most of these low-level entities, the party controls the political infrastructure, as well as vast political and budgetary power and can directly influence the employees of those entities and their families, as well as hold powerful influence over higher-level political entities.
Reed was in town to implement that political-power-flows-upward strategy in the San Diego County general elections; his Coalition endorsed and backed dozens of low-level candidates…and won nearly every seat because of the typical low voter turnout for such elections.
Ever since then, the Right Wing has been firmly in control of San Diego County. Because of the success in San Diego, the strategy became known as “The San Diego Strategy” and has been successfully used nationwide by the right wing and the Republican Party from the on to gain control of city, county, and state political infrastructure that has led to control of many state governments and their congressional delegations.
The Democratic Party has never learned the lesson that if you want to gain and hold political power, you start at the bottom, because political power flows upward. The DNC pours its resources into high-profile races, but ignores the local and county races, thereby ceding control of the grass roots political power to the Republicans, and eventually losing the state legislature and federal elections. In so many, many ways the DNC is the worst enemy of the Democratic Party.
