   I came on here months ago and said the Democrats would lose the election because of immigration.

   The Democrats lost because of immigration.

   If you are going to lose your job or have your wages halved because employers will only employ illegals in your industry – (such as what happened in meatpacking or construction) then that is going to have a much bigger effect on you than any other govt action. And you will vote to stop that limitless immigration even if its an idiot scammer like Trump.

   By supporting unlimited illegal immigration (and exploitative ‘legal’ immigration like the H1B bonded labor scam), Democrats support plutocracy. No other way around it.

     The real question is how Trump is going to fool the voters into thinking he has solved the immigration problem. Republicans have had numerous time since 2000 to pass reasonable legislation on this matter. They refused on Trump’s order during this election, despite getting everything they asked for in the bill. The truth is, Republicans need immigrants so their sheep will follow.

     The folks who voted them in may be turkeys, but they are mostly “the poorly educated” –who tRump has said he adores (and it’s easy to guess why)– not the primarily teachers, parents, concerned citizens, etc. (most of whom are highly educated) that frequent this blog. If you are speaking for yourself, fine, but the majority of us cannot be counted amongst the “we.”
