Drew Goins, assistant editor of The Washington Post, summarized key points in Project 2025:
On Tuesday, President Biden tweeted three words: “Google Project 2025.” Google Trends saw search interest surpass even that of Taylor Swift this week.
Unfortunately for the Biden campaign, searching the term first yields the project’s own shiny homepage, complete with fireworks and flags and soaring language. So what is Project 2025 really?
In short, it’s a playbook for dramatically overhauling the federal government should Republicans win control. Technically, it comes from the Heritage Foundation and not the GOP presidential campaign, which allows Trump to claim he knows no more than the average confused Googler. “Don’t fall for it,” Catherine Rampell writes. Project 2025 and the MAGA machine are inextricable, with hundreds of Trump officials taking part in the planning.
The planning of what? Let’s take a look:
- Project 2025 would steeply reduce Medicaid funding and remove medication abortion drugs from the market.
- It would shutter LGBTQ+ health programs and have the government declare that heterosexual couples are the superior family structure. The term “sexual orientation” would be forbidden from federal legislation.
- It would terminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that allows “dreamers” to stay in the United States and would lower legal immigration limits, as well.
- It would bring the FBI under direct control of the president and eliminate the Education Department.
- It would stop expansion of the electrical grid for wind and solar energy.
- It would make pornography illegal and imprison people who make it.
- It would officially recognize the Sabbath and infuse Judeo-Christian values throughout government.
- And it lays out how the president could purge nonpartisan civil servants and install loyalists who would accomplish all of this.
But don’t worry: Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts has promised that this revolution will be “bloodless” if the left acquiesces.
It is no wonder, the Editorial Board writes, that Trump wants the official GOP platform “to be as anodyne and vague as possible.” It is anything but.
Catherine allows that Trump might not know some of the particulars of Project 2025 — “few would mistake the man for a policy wonk.” Even if so, that’s just as dangerous; Trump delegated major decisions to his underlings last time and would do so again.
The underlings who are writing Project 2025.

I don’t understand this Democratic vitrolic against Biden all of a sudden. News after news about members of his party wanting him to step down. It’s kinda late to be turning against him. Who would replace him? Not Kamala because of racism in repub and demo parties. If our mission is to ensure Trump is kicked out of our government, we got to win this election. On a personal basis, I will vote for anyone against Trump but we need someone who could win. I got no ideas beyond Biden at this point. So unless he has a fatal disease which old age isn’t considering a large number of legislators are old also, stop liking Biden and push the content of our programs for all Americans, not just the rich.

”…heterosexual couples are the superior family structure.” the above quote illustrates just how perverse right wing thought is.
I can make a really good argument for being of European ancestry. It is vastly superior to be European since society has rewarded this group more down through generations. Maybe it would be better to create an equitable society.

There have been studies of this. Interestingly, lesbian couple’s children tend to be the most successful.

Well, who is surprised at that? Every body knows It’s the mother that holds the child’s feet to the fire. Two mothers? Slam dunk.

“It would make pornography illegal and imprison people who make it.” However “pornography” is very broadly defined. There is an explicit discussion in Project 2025 regarding making librarians and others who make “pornography” as the right wing defines it, which includes ANY discussion of LGBTQ issues, criminally liable for distributing pornography to minors.

The United States is the biggest producer of porn in the world.
Take a look at the market share of the top 15 online pornography-producing nations:
In the USA, the porn industry generates between $15 billion – $97 billion a year.

Trump can claim to be the only candidate who actually slept with a porn star. Truth.

That number for the size of the industry surprises me and is probably vastly inflated. Here’s why: There is strong reason to believe that the major online pornography sites are money laundering operations with mostly free content–ones that maintain fictitious subscription rolls as the mechanism for the laundering. And these free operations mostly put traditional porn makers out of business. For a fascinating look at all this, see the documentary expose by French filmmaker Ovidie entitled Pornocracy, which is available on Prime Video.

What Traitor Trump knows about Project 25 is what would fit in 25 words or less summary, and his name with the word GREAT in front of it would have to start the summary to capture the convicted rapist, fraud and felon’s attention for the next few seconds.
In short: Project 2025 would replace the US Constitution and probably be the beginning of the end of civilization and our species.

I wonder if they would ban Margaret Atwood’s novels, and the movies that spin off of her work. Oh . . . . I forgot . . . they already channel “The Handmaid’s Tale,” so they cannot ban them without being hypocrites. Atwood is their “man.”
But then, I also forgot: Hypocrisy as a political problem went out with shame as a political problem, and immorality, lying, racism, homophobia, sexual duplicity, hate speech, and anti-Christianity as political problems, all such problems went out with the advent of Trumpism and MAGA. I keep forgetting. CBK
