Though the conclusion should be, “Since these tests provide no useful information, we should do away with them and spend the money on stuff that matters, like classroom libraries, smaller class sizes, and free school breaksfasts and lunches.

EPAA is where I first came across Noel Wilson’s dissertation. Anyone involved in education should read and understand what he has to say.

Yes, the Wilson dissertation is a superb example of crackpot science. It’s a classic of the genre, like Worlds in Collision or Chariot of the Gods or Atlantis: The Antideluvian World.

You’ve admitted that you haven’t read Wilson. I disregard any of your comments about it.

Democracy Mike Miles Style.
Miles presented himself as single-minded in his goal to improve educational outcomes in Houston ISD. Says he’s acting QUICKLY so students don’t lose more time. And so he can bring back the Democratically-Elected School Board.
“We have to build a culture of high performance. This is a long-term proposition to change culture. Culture is changed over time.
If teachers don’t want to work in that kind of culture, they need to make the decisions that’s right for them.”
