Sorry Mr.Z
Well, they’ll demonize ya when you’re trying to be so good
They’ll demonize ya just a-like they said they would
They’ll demonize ya when you’re tryin’ to go home
Then they’ll demonize ya when you’re there all alone
Well, they’ll demonize ya when you’re walkin’ ‘long the street
They’ll demonize ya when you’re tryin’ to keep your seat
They’ll demonize ya when you’re walkin’ on the floor
They’ll demonize ya when you’re walkin’ to the door
They’ll demonize ya when you’re at the breakfast table
They’ll demonize ya when you are young and able
They’ll demonize ya when you’re tryin’ to make a buck
They’ll demonize ya and then they’ll say, “dumb cluck.”
Well, they’ll demonize you and say that it’s the end
Then they’ll demonize you and then they’ll come back again
They’ll demonize you when you’re riding in your car
They’ll demonize you when you’re playing your guitar
Well, they’ll demonize you when you walk all alone
They’ll demonize you when you are walking home
They’ll demonize you and then say you are a knave
They’ll demonize you when you are set down in your grave
But I would not feel so all alone
After the “others” are demonized, teachers stand alone.

Freedom means something different depending on your political and/or religious beliefs.
The U.S. Constitution only protects 5 freedoms but biased and ignorant people have taken those five freedoms and expanded them well beyond what the U.S. Constitution protects.
https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/group/oath-keepers
The Oath Keepers are a good example. These four words are the key to what I mean: “as they understand it”.
“The Oath Keepers urge their members to obey the Constitution, as they understand it, even if that interpretation goes against that of U.S. lawmakers and judges.
“The main crux of the group’s messaging asserts that the government is engaged in attacks against its own citizens, working to strip them of their civil liberties. The group advocates for Americans to prepare for inevitable conflict with the government by stockpiling goods and supplies, engaging in paramilitary training and working to create small, self-reliant community networks.”

You are correct that some groups have become extreme in their belief systems, but you have to admit that since the Reagan years, our politicians (both sides) have done a very good job of fleecing the American taxpayer while enriching the wealthy. I’m not condoning the violence and vitriol. All we have to do is look at the wealth gap and see that this is the problem. Everyone should be feeling some anger over what has happened since the 80’s.

Lisa, I agree that the subversive war to destroy the U.S. started when Reagan was president, but I think the Koch Brothers and their network should bear most of that guilt.
Yes, Reagan killed the Fairness Doctrine, continued Nixons’ war on recreational drugs like pot, and he also declared war on the public schools with his misleading and often lying “A Nation at Risk”.
But I think it was the Koch network that has done the most damage.
… “So the two of them ran that campaign in 1980 against Ronald Reagan. They ran from the right against Ronald Reagan because they felt Reagan wasn’t conservative enough and was too much of a sellout. So again, you get to see this marker very early on about how far out to the right they were.” …
… “But you get much more specific in some chapters here, and you say that they – that the company has a remarkable record for corporate malfeasance.” …

Most of the political destruction in this country can be traced back to the Koch network.

With all due respect, I did no better than the people in this video. While I could enumerate the protection of these and other rights, putting them in the first Amendment was impossible for me. I kept forgetting the right of petition, one of the most passed over provisions in the national consciousness.
So why do I tend to agree with you more than the people the guy interviewed? Probably it is because I have an intuitive understanding of fairness and public good that transcends even the most important of our heritage documents. This is why I distrust tests. Even if a student can name all the kings of France, he may yet fail to understand what each meant to the development of their love for cheese. And we all know cheese is more important to France than Bourbon.

What exactly is your argument? How exactly is RFK, Jr. a “con-scientist”? Please directly address his comments and stop with the ad hominem attacks and other logical fallacies, which is very childish…
Are you telling me that a lawyer can’t have an educated opinion on a topic? What if the lawyer consults with scientists and both parties, using their critical thinking skills, establish a solution, a truth, a better perspective? Does that make their opinion invalid? Lawyers, judges, those in academia and people with common sense consult with and study ideas from other fields all the time. That’s a part of civil discourse and healthy debate…
The great irony is that the pro-mandates crowd cheer on and worship Bill Gates, who is a major funder of vaccines, but is not a doctor. Many folks on this post also agree with Diane Ravitch’s comments on vaccines although she’s not a medical doctor… Do you get my point now? But if it makes you feel better, there are a growing number of scientists/doctors who are against these experimental vaccines and mandates… here’s some articles with that info:

Look, for anyone reading this—I’m all for healthy and civil debate because that’s exactly what we need in today’s society… Interestingly enough, Big Tech, Big Pharma and Big Government are all conspiring to curtail civil discourse, which is one of the hallmarks of a democracy. But, if you’re going to act like a spoiled child with ad hominem attacks, straw mans and the like—this is only revealing the dire circumstances we find ourselves in today. You are playing right into what the powers-that-be want us to do—fight amongst ourselves…

RFK is not giving a humble opinion on a topic he is not an expert on, but is doing propaganda. He does the same as Bill Gates who declared himself to be an expert in education. People like them usually have Messiah complexes. Imo, it’s fair and polite to declare them wacky, and I am saying this in the most civilized and scientific way possible.
People who believe lawyers, politicians or media personalities rather than experts on any topic cannot and shouldn’t expect civil discussions, since their stance is uncivil: they ignore people who devote their lives to their expertise. Very rude, to say the least.

In general, what’s private and what’s public needs to be distinguished once and for all. Private opinion at a dinner table is different from giving the opinion on a youtube video or podcast.
Sooner or later there will be limits set on how and where people can give their opinion.

I am sure you are aware of the fact that this letter by “thousands of doctors” which propose that the official line and actions on covid are crimes against humanity has been thrown out by the courts in Canada due to Rule 2.1 which states
“the court may, on its own initiative, stay or dismiss a proceeding if the proceeding appears on its face to be frivolous or vexatious or otherwise an abuse of the process of the court.”
