Watch this video from the local TV station.. The parent in Dripping Springs wanted to illustrate why we follow certain rules and protocols, whether we like them or not. He stripped to his underwear to make his point.

That CNN link seems to be dead. Here’s a local news link that works: https://www.kvue.com/article/news/education/schools/dripping-springs-isd-parent-takes-off-clothes-at-meeting-to-voice-concerns-about-mask-mandates/269-08dc15e7-2578-4fd2-88e2-05c5516932e5

I got the opposite impression. I thought the reporter got it all wrong. Maybe I just didn’t see enough of the event, but from what I did see I thought he was trying to say, “Hey, there are things we all don’t like to do, but we do them anyway either for the greater good in the case of driving laws or in the case of jobs because our employers have the right to set the terms of employment.

You are right. He was using drama and humor to make the point that you have to have rules to live in society.

Holy crap! Now I understand his point of view completely. This guy is an amazing communicator. Now we need a president who will disrobe.

Given the history, wishing for a President who will disrobe (for models and interns) is like wishing for a carpenter who will hammer nails.

Off topic, but something I hope Diane watches…this guy taught in Patterson. What he describes is probably true of many urban schools. He says the truth is being “hushed up”. He’s right.

Another damn video that has music playing over the talk. Can’t listen to those due to my hearing loss. Aggravating as hell

Did the news story get it wrong or were they playing along with his point? It’s hard to tell.

And with NO rules from the State of Texas, today this public school district faces:
Houston’s Humble ISD, is where hundreds of new cases are reported every day.
At Kingwood High School, 107 students have reported testing positive since school started, including 80 cases considered “active.”
“I feel that they should keep the same protocols as they had last year,” said Heather Morgan, a Kingwood High parent. “It’s no longer an issue of individual choice. It’s about saving lives.”
Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen emailed parents Wednesday night outlining some changes, including easing attendance rules for exams and bringing back testing for teachers. The lengthy email also urged those with symptoms to stay home.
“Dr. Fagen is doing a phenomenal job keeping us going in the right direction,” said Heather Keaton, a Kingwood High parent.

In Missouri a state representative Peter Meredith is calling upon the MO state attorney general to save Missouri children from the schools mandating shoe mandates. I would have pasted a link, but in the past when I pasted a link, my post wouldn’t go through.
